About Smash

A new live music venue and club in Edinburgh

Smash Description

Edinburgh's newest music venue and nightclub!

We hope to see Smash keep live music’s heart beating, giving people and bands a chance to be seen and heard. It has been such a shame to see so many venues close their doors for the last time but we desperately want to breathe new life into the live music scene in Edinburgh.

3 more weeks before Citrus closes it's doors! This week we're very happy to be joining forces with the official Erasure aftershow party. We'll be ready to go from 10.30pm so even if you're not lucky enough to have a ticket for the gig you can still enjoy the party. Expect loads of 80's classics along with all your usual Citrus Saturday favourites

User

Citrus is closed tonight for a post festive period "relaxer". We'll be back to normal for our legendary Citrus Saturday night, tomorrow, from 11pm and don't forget, it's FREE entry before 11.30pm.

Went to see The Dickies, bar prices are great for a city centre venue.

Get in early and check out support bands and save on bevy.

We've lost one more great venue so get yer arses behind this venue and lets make it a success

This is a great new venture for Gavin an Jo and it needs everyone to support it, so that we will have another music venue in Edinburgh. For once this is a music venue OPENING not Closing BUT if people don't visit it won't survive. So get on down there people and support live music and a venue that's putting it out there. Great venue to play, good sound and plenty stage space. We loved playing there tonight.

User

User

User

Amazing night on Sunday watching the dickies play

A great new venue promoting what Edinburgh needs right now! <3

User

The music is good, it's starting to get busier which is good too. Hopefully more old Studio24 goers will start coming along. The bar lets the place down though. Lager, lager, lager, hardly any cider (which is always close to selling out) and the Hooch sells out, if the place was busier you'd be stuck with lager which is no use if you hate it. Not into spirits either. Place definitely has potential if the bar improves. **Update** Bar now has cider on tap, and more bottled options. WKD etc.

User

Smash is monumental for the Edinburgh music scene after the recent closure of not only the revered Studio 24 but some dear grass-root spaces in Leith. It's opening has lifted the mood of many as the vibe and spatial dimensions apper 'homely'. And fear not future, word on the street - and on SAM radio- is that Joe and Gavin's club will be a stage for many to stand up to.

Time will tell. To date, the event schedule looks pretty tutti fruity!

With that, 'turn on, tune in and drop out'. ♪
