Went to smyths today to buy the joie nitro stroller for my daughter and 2 young ladies served me I know one was called Chloe but didn't get the other ladies name they were extremely helpful in showing me all the features and letting me push to see how it felt etc i was very happy with the service. Chloe even helped me to set it up so i could use it straight away these ladies really are a credit to your store thank you hope you liked the roses just a wee token of my appreciation xxxx

We visited the store yesterday with my 3yr old daughter and wow.....what an amazing selection!

Super prices too. We could've spent hours in there and may well do so next time.

We bought a Playmobil set and visited another chain toy store nearby to see it double the price compared to Smyths price.

Smyths is definitely the biggest AND best toy store in Edinburgh!

Today i visited the store to purchase a car seat and was served by Jennifer - her customer service was absolutely brilliant! She was knowledgable about the product i was buying and extremely helpful when advising me on how to make use of it. I think she deserves a pat on the back from her Manager. With the store being so busy at this time of year it must be hard to stay calm and friendly but Jennifer was exactly that. Anyone visiting the shop should ask for Jennifer for help, she's a star!

I was in yesterday with a friend who was looking for a car seat, we were served by Jennifer who was lovely and thorough and helped us with everything we needed.

I visited your store at fort kinnaird edinburgh and was looking to buy a new buggy and car seat for my son! I was served by a young girl with long brown hair, never caught her name! But recieved better service than any pram/buggy store! So helpful and nothing was a hassle to her and met my every demand! Pat on the back to her for great customer friendly service. Shame i never got her name wouldve liked to put a good word in for her! Nice to get recognised in your job �

I just wanted to say thank you! My son has asked for a smokey cars figure and we travelled from Berwick to get one in smyths. Darryl helped hunt high and low and couldn't find one. Next thing he's chasing me down the aisle with smokey in his hand! My son has autism and this being the ONLY thing he wants for his birthday on Friday! Thank you so much Darryl! Amazing service and can't wait to see Zak's face on Friday!!!

I like the wide selection of toys and competitive prices - I do not like its hard to catch the staff to ask them to show you where to find something, if you're after a specific toy.

Really disappointed with Smyths toys. We visited the Edinburgh store yesterday, my first time at a Smyths store. We made the 93.7 mile journey down and 93.7 miles back solely to visit a Smyths toy store for the first time and shop for our 4 children’s Xmas and the 2 birthday’s that 2 of our children have around Christmas time too. The experience in store was great, I really couldn’t have faulted it. I loved the store, the staff were friendly and when I left the store, I was a very happy bunny (even though my purse was now a heck of a lot lighter). Unfortunately, the problems occurred with the after sales. When I got home and started dividing all the new toys into their individual piles for what gift was going to what child, and listing the value of each item so I knew exactly how much each child had had spent on them (trying to keep it fair) I discovered I had been charged for an Xbox 1 game twice. No big deal, accidents happen I understand that, the store was busy and the cashier is only human at the end of the day. I’ll call Smyths in the morning when the store is open and get this resolved. Now to some, it is only £30, but it’s my £30. 4 kids with 2 of them having birthdays at Christmas too, every penny is a prisoner!!! I called the store in the morning, explained what happened and the chap was very apologetic and asked me to come back into store to have this rectified. Great, only it’s a 187 mile round trip for me to do so, that’s not really an option for me. He spoke with his manager who said they could post me a gift card to the value as apposed to a refund. Hmmmm. I’m starting to get a bit annoyed here. I have been charged an extra £30 through absolutely no fault of my own, yet this massive toy chain do not have anything in place that would allow me to get my money back that should not have been taken off of me in the first place, unless I go in store. The suggestion of a £30 gift voucher!!!! I feel is absolutely ridiculous. You have taken £30 from me that you shouldn’t have. I do not want to spend another £30 on toys, I would like my £30 to be able to spend on my kids school lunches, or my grocery shop, or my petrol to run them to and from their activities, or to pay for their activities but instead, my hand is being forced, I’m going to have to spend it on more toys!!! Not wanting to fall out with this poor employee on the phone, he didn’t cause the error, he is probably not on a pay grade to merit dealing with an unhappy customer, I asked if there was someone higher up I could speak with and I was given the customer service telephone number. I called the customer service team, after 21 mins on hold I got through to someone, explained what had happened and was told they can’t do anything for me, it needs to be the store with either me going in or accepting the gift voucher as they only deal with online issues and have no details for the stores sales. 4 minutes later the call was ended with still no satisfactory resolve. Smyths toys, one of your employees has taken an extra £30 from my pocket. A much needed £30. Find a way to refund me and if it simply is not possible, compensate me! I really was not wanting to spend another £30 on toys on top of what I had already spent but if I’m going to have to at the hands of your employee’s error then make it worth my while! Such a shame, such a positive shopping experience now been overshadowed by an error and a lack of resolve

I am deeply dissatisfied with the abysmal way that Smyths have dealt with the shortage of Mini NES consoles.

I pre-ordered mine months ago expecting to recieve it on the release date 11th November- AS ADVERTISED!

On the morning of the 11th I recieved a text message- not even a courtesty call- to say that my console would be available the week of the 21st of November- no notice given or the option of returned deposit.

I have now received ANOTHER TEXT to say my console WON'T BE AVAILABLE UNTIL NEXT WEEK!!!!!



Utterly disgusted with the way that this has been dealt with.
