These two cats are from two very well loved Aussie bands (can you tell who it is yet??).
Lucky for us they have moved to Sunny Leith, so we've made them irregular Sneaky Pete's residents!
Last month's show was a pure belter, they played Jungle Boogie, Heart Of Glass, Love Rollercoaster, Wooly Bully, Cannonball, Personality Crisis, Roadrunner and yes even Stayin' Alive.
... Expect more of the same indie classics and oddities, plus some added Christmas big'uns, for added season's feelings.

So it begins. The first 5am of the season tonight as Soul Jam team up with The Mirror Dance to raise money for the city's less fortunate.
A reminder that entry tonight can be paid in the donation of a gift that will go to a family in Edinburgh.

DJ Cheers is joined by musical chameleon Pako Vega, one of the best DJs to play the club (Certainly the most passionate!), to serve another all-you-can-eat mind buffet.
Pako was born in Ceuta, a Spanish city in the North of Africa where Jews, Muslims, Indians and Christians live together by the Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea. Expect the most danceable Chiringuito oriented Disco, House, Japanese electrofunk, Spanish Ye-Ye, Balearic, Cosmic, New Wave and Italo.

Great news!
Dan Juice is returning to play an extended set for all the wonderful dancers. We expect a pacey set, direct and primed for the dancefloor. House and Techno will be a staple but there are no rules!
This is the first of a new residency at Sneaks and a non for profit night. All proceed will be donated to Capability Scotland.
... There will be no advance tickets, if you wish to be added to guestlist please make a £5 donation on the JustGiving link below and we'll add you to the list.
Entry will be £5 on the night
Everyone welcome xp

Alex Rex is the solo project from Alex Neilson (Trembling Bells/ Bonnie “Prince” Billy) and friends. Singing songs of love, loss and loathing. This is their first UK tour promote new album OTTERBURN (Tin Angel Records). Misanthropy has never sounded so glorious.
Jill Lorean is the nom de guerre of Jill O'Sullivan - founding member of Sparrow & The Workshop and BDY PRTS - two of the most innovative and incendiary bands to come out of Glasgow in the past 15 years. Uptight and soulful with a smear of gut-bucket Blues, Lorean is the perfect culmination of Jill's distinctive songwriting.

Your weekly boys are back with some extra "don't call it an indie night" selections of dancing music made by bands.
This week we'll not be playing any How Soon Is Now or Blue Monday (as usual) but there is a high chance of Sledgehammer, The First Big Weekend and yeah probably (woah) Black Betty (bam ba lam).

Tiny venue that's big on music. Although a busy sell out night the staff were awesome and drinks were mixed to high standard. Seems to attract a friendly crowd of proper music lovers. Keepin it real guys.

User

This small live alternative music venue has a warm atmosphere and has been associated with music in one form or another since the 60's. In the 70's it was known by those with good musical taste as The Nips 'o' Brandy and had the best jukebox in town. It has played host to local and visiting acts from folk to punk and jazz to rock. Very intimate environment.

User

The best little venue in the UK. If you go to clubs to be seen and vip booths are your thing then you're in the wrong place. Sneak's is for locals, music lovers and folk who prefer the nitty gritty over the superficial.

User

Promoted the Simone Felice show there recently. Brilliant wee space. Staff were great, sound engineer quality and overall smooth place to put a show on. Great atmosphere.

User

Of all the club's we visited throughout the weekend this one topped the list by far! Atmosphere was excellent and the security and staff were amazing too! Would love to go back

It was late and the end of a messy Christmas night out, I should really have done the right thing and gone home so I was fresh to take my daughter to school. Did I? No.. One of my colleagues suggested going here to which I almost passed out with excitement; I have always loved coming to Sneaky Pete's and have never had a bad night in the venue. Just to put things into perspective, I used to come here when they had a jukebox, sold Newcastle Brown and the Pogues was played on a loop. How we got in was a miracle as one of the party was dressed in a suit and we looked corporate as hell! Regardless, the doorman was friendly and gave me a tramp stamp my eldest will be jealous of. Once inside the club, I was one of those awkward 'oh my God, check out the dancing Dad' guys from the word go. The place was quiet to begin with but soon filled up and the sound system was just lovely. The music started off garage but went full on jackin house; the DJ was absolutely on fire! To be able to go to a club when you are 40, not have anyone turn your nose up at you for being an old git and wake up smiling after the most amazing night dancing was a lovely experience. I feel like an alien growing old; I refuse to accept dinner and a couple of drinks after in a shite hipster pub is the perfect night out. This club is unique considering Edinburgh's clubbing reputation and sets a benchmarks other can only aspire to. Thank you for providing me with such brilliant nights and I shall keep working on that track that shall hopefully one day get me a DJ set in such an incredible venue.

If you want to have a great evening, see some great unknown indie/rock bands and drink a few beers or gins with residents, well, that's the place to be. Also we discovered that they have sometimes the best german beer (Augustiner). Feels like home :) Never been there for the electro/house parties, only can recommend the concert before the party starts.

I don’t go to “club nights” but for the live bands. Places like sneaky Petes keep the scene alive. Support your local scene x

User

I do enjoy visiting this lovely establishment with my fellow comrades to share a drink or two and aggressively move around to dance music.

User

Great wee venue..cool set-up. Thanks for last night guys ! (y)

User

Great place and amazing sound - good to be allowed to play loud! Savage Cut x

User

Great album launch at Sneaky Pete's.

Big thanks to your friendly helpful sound guy whose name I didn't catch because I was fighting the flu! Thanks for charging my phone during our set!

User

First visit to Sneaky Petes about a week ago for to see three awesome bands. First band STEAL THE SUN are just awesome, next up were IDKid they were fab but Junebug were phenomenal. Gig was great and very close. Hope to be back soon. Only wee gripe I had was there was hardly any place to put drinks, but apart from that awesome wee venue

User

An ace venue and crowd. Always have a great night in Sneaky's but last night was amazing. Waze & Oddyssey were brilliant. Their last track was an absolute belter

User

Smallest club I’ve been too but who cares, really friendly bouncers, decent nights and often free entry before 12 on some nights which is a great factor if ur a student !!

User

Great for gigs. Absolutely gutted to be turned away this wkend on the basis “you’re too old go somewhere else”! Brutal at least you’re direct though!

User

Turn up to see a band play, only for it to transpire that the band I want to see won't be playing because the bouncer won't let the guitarist in?! Wtf?! Not the first time something like this has happened here. If you like your rock n roll wrapped in cotton wool, have yerself a time in Sleekit Pete's! Booooo!

User

Me my friend and my other friend were all attacked by one girl. We walked away but the bouncers did absolutely nothing. Disgusting as it was a threat to our safely. We we're assured she was going to be thrown out if we walked away, we walked up the street obviously not the ones causing trouble but this crazy high person was left unquestioned. Disgusting approach by the bouncers and I will never return.
