Sofology - Edinburgh

Friendly staff and nice furniture. We were impressed by the service when we purchased our new sofa

Bought a three & two seater recliner. After 3 or 4 days the three seater was very uncomfortable to sit on as the padding had compressed in the seat and back even after dressing them frequently. Phoned sofology & they sent one of their upholsterers. He said that the top layer in the padding was a fibre & it compresses very quickly & neads to be dressed frequently to which I told him I had been doing. He said that the fibre was the idustry standard & there was nothing wrong with the suite. It feels like sitting on the floor after 10 - 15 minutes. I called sofology again & they said they would give me a credit with a 30% charge & after complaining that loosing 30% after 7 days for something that was substandard was ridiculous. They then reduced the charge to 15% which in my opinion was still unacceptable. We didn't see any other suites in the store that we liked & they all maybe filled with the same padding. They just kept repeating their upholsterer said there was nothing wrong & the suite had been made to industry standards. This being the case, I would advise anyone thinking of buying from sofology to ask what the padding is made of in what ever suite your thinking of & if it's fibre, steer well clear of it because it's absolutely usless no matter what excuses they fling at you.

Great experience in store with Margaret from Edinburgh she stayed behind closing time with me and my husband in January 2017 to process our order defo 5 stars for her she was knowledgable and had great love for her company! 4 stars for sofology as a company as this is our second set of sofas in two years, despite having a 5 year leather warranty and ten year structural warranty the failed to deal with my complain efficiently, we shouldn't have had to buy these sofas they should of been given in exchange to us, but this doesn't reflect the store they were great, it reflects the company and there customer service team (the aftercare). Now we have to sell sofas we have kept in immaculate condition that are only two years old that we bought for 1800 for 600 as they lose structure the cushioning gives way! Hopefully the new ones won't do this, would of been nice to be given discount on new ones though!
