We are open bank holiday Monday and we are open all week as usual, as Annan road is getting resurfaced from Tuesday to Thursday. Entry to the hotel will not be prohibited, everyone welcome.

We are closed for food tomorrow lunchtime(Monday the 14th) as we are having some work done in the kitchen the bar is still open for drinks and tea and coffee but unfortunately no food until 5pm through to 9pm sorry for any inconvenience.

why not come and try some of the new choices on our menu most of the old favourites are still there but there's a few new starters and mains for you to try.

What a absolutely amazing hotel to stay in very clean,great staff cannot fault it in anyway would recommend this place to anyone wanting to go for a break or a wedding. Will be returning very soon. We provided the entertainment for a wedding here this weekend, and would like to thank the staff for being so accommodating and professional. This is a beautiful hotel, with great attention to detail. The staff ensured we had everything we needed to set up, and moved things around to allow us the extra space we needed. Stayed Saturday for one day just to look round the lodge as we wanted to book for a wedding next year .. and we booked it straight away for the reception and ended up booking 13 rooms for some of our guests .. the foods amazing .. rooms very modern .. staff very pleasant and helpful ..it was just amazing .. would highly recommend this hotel 10 out 10 and thanks to Nicky for helping us to sort our booking for the wedding next year xx

I have just had to write to say thank you for the most perfect day on Sunday 22/4/18 for our wedding ...the whole weekend from start to finish was just brilliant !!!..our wedding party had all the rooms and everyone said how lovely there rooms were ...we did the wedding package which was fantastic value for money ...the food was delicious and 32 empty plates proved that !!..I would love to thank each and every member of staff individually because nothing was any trouble for any of them ..they were so helpful and friendly all weekend..even the lovely little lady that cleaned the rooms couldn't do enough for us ...if anyone is thinking of booking this hotel DONT HESITATE you really wont regret it ..we will be going back for our first anniversary next year and I think alot of the guests want to tag along too as they enjoyed it so much ...Thanks again everyone ..love Paul & Michelle Cope xx

Had a wedding prep weekend at The Solway Lodge hotel Friday and Saturday 24th and 25th March. This hotel is remarkably accessible from the M6 off the 1st roundabout as you enter Gretna, it's very pleasant to see from the roadside and has a good sized car park.

From entering the building you're greeted with a lovely welcome and the hotel has a homely feel from the moment you enter.

Over the last few weeks understandably the bride and groom have had questions and requests but every single one so far has been met! Fiona, the kitchen / restaurant manager is exceptional, she goes out of her way (literally) to help to get you what you want.

Beds lovely and comfortable, food amazing, very clean hotel!

Gretna is a relatively small village but so far we've sourced everything we need at very competitive prices.

We can't wait for the wedding in September. See you for more prep in May.

Had a family meal here last weekend for my birthday, food was lovely & very reasonably priced , staff were great, very friendly nothing was a bother to them, beautiful surroundings inside & out. Hubby surprised me with an overnight stay & our room was beautiful, very clean & very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious & the young man that served us was lovely, very polite & efficient. Would definitely recommend a visit here x

Stayed for 3 weeks recently between Feb & early March when working away from home.

Great value for money.

Never stayed during weekend tho, sure the entertainment nights would be fun!

Only stayed one night but was an overall good experience. Stayed in outdoor chalet which was very clean and well appointed but a bit too small for my liking. Would definitely stay again but only if I was in one of the inside rooms.

Had a lovely meal with family around 30 excellent food and service but was a bit disappointed to find breakfast finished a 9 and to be woken at 7 with the fans from the kitchen room 18 lovely room but would ask for different room next time.

Good value for money used as stop over on way to Aberdeen just off m6 breakfast was lovely

Pockey room floor shacks with kitchen fans make a hell of a racket the staff said they no room 18 suffers with noise and kitchen smells wonŌĆÖt be coming here again
