Sounds Of The City Description
This project looks into speech sounds of Glasgow past and present. Just as the landscape of the city has experienced transformations over time, the speech of its residents has been continuously changing.
We are building an electronic corpus of Glasgow dialect, and applying the latest phonetic and statistical methods to analyse it.
