8:45am Reports coming in on the traffic from Ystrad Mynach to Caerphilly is over an hour wait at the moment. A complete standstill for miles.

A469 - Ystrad to Caerphilly Traffic 30/07/2018

If you are going out to the city or Caerphilly, journey times are currently around ONE HOUR between Ystrad and Pwll y Pant along the A469 (coming into Ystrad and Blackwood is fine). Short cuts via Llanbradach and Pandy Lane equally congested. Avoid this route if you can.

KFC issued a £42,000 fine . Since the incident in February last year, the Blackwood restaurant has undergone extensive refurbishment, been sold and is now owned and run by a franchisee rather than by KFC directly.

Fire started behind B&M / Carpet Right this morning, information received so far indicates this could have been started deliberately.
