Terrible customer service from the service department. No communication throughout the day our car was booked in. We had left a contact number with them at the beginning of the day which they failed to use. Lied to our face about being contacted. When challenged they were very defensive and arrogant. We will NOT be using John Clark Volkswagen or any John Clark owned franchise again and a letter will be written to Volkswagen UK.

Just amended my shambolic 1 star review from my experience 8 months ago. Got the car booked in no problem this time, got a courtesy car, email/text updates and a phone call. Dropped the car off at 8.15, faulty oil pressure switch diagnosed and replaced under warranty (they didn’t stock the switch and a choice of 2 but they sourced 1 from tps and 1 from audi) 2 recalls and the cars 1st service (even let me supply my own parts aswell) collected it at 3.45 nice and clean, dealt with 2 members of staff who were both very pleasant Fiona and I think Chris sorry if I’ve got your name wrong lad. Not sure if they looked after me after my scathing email last time or if they have drastically improved all round but ether way I’m very happy with the service I received. Keep up the good work!!

I had my car in here for services over the whole 4 years never received any thing but tremendous service and communication from the staff both verbal, electronic and face to face. Very attentive and nothing is too much trouble for them

Avoid at all costs, worst car buying experience in 25 years of changing cars every year. Broken promises, unreasonable service on holding car while daughter was on holiday. Promised the earth, claimed to be the best, worst dealership I have ever encountered. Avoid at all costs ! Bought a brand new car from a local dealer instead, Specialist Cars VW you really ought to learn that customer service is KING.

They diagnosed an issue with my ignition barrel so I paid c£260 to have it replaced during a service. All works cost c£900. It didn't make any difference although another 75 cars were booked in the same day so I've no idea if they actually did the work or not. Now want me to pay another £140 to have the correct replacement part put in. So I pay for their mistakes and insinuated that it was me that diagnosed the initial ignition problem when 2 of their mechanics made the diagnosis. Shockingly poor service and attitude from the male service receptionist who essentially calls me a liar to save his company money for making the wrong diagnosis. I have to pay twice to fix the same fault. Poor poor show.

i am suffering from last MOT which was done by Colin MoT services . He forgot to put info on system but invoiced of £1100. I was told he can not print MOT certs due to printer not working. I came back from overseas and put car back to street and police found MOT is not on system and penalise £100 as my car is on road without MOT. I went back to ColinMOT and they took my car but found out they gave me a customer car as Courtesy car. They accepted both negligences but denied to pay my losses after giving me MOT cert. The company changes ownership be a way from liability as they know what they are doing. You can see reviews on google from others. It is very difficult to get justice when such company do the negligences. That is why it is better to go to the real companies who are ready to accept negligences. Human error can happen. Volkswagen people said the true things to the customers and they will not change owner often. I got full overview of car and i will buy car with them again and go for MOT and services again. You will think , invoices are so high but it is not if you compare to company to Colin MOT.

I experienced superb customer service recently at Specialist Cars VW Aberdeen last month when my car required extensive repair work. The service department bent over backwards to have the work done at very minimal cost to me which far exceeded my expectations of what a main dealer could do in such cases. I'll definitely be back!

After around 20 years of our family being a customer at Specialist Cars (John Clark) Volkswagen, I do believe we have reached the end of our tether in regards to their poor customer service, specifically the services department. I feel I need to say that this has been a relatively recent problem (about 1 or 2 years), basically after they stopped asking for customer service ratings.... Rude and dismissive, we've had multiple problems with our current car and they made next to no effort to help us. In fact, they couldn't get away any faster when we once towed our broken down car in because it was inconveniently 10 mins before they were clocking off. Suffice to say, we will be going elsewhere in the future. Very disappointed.
