Speyside Tours would like to say a big thank you to Kristina Loriers who gave them a guided tour of the historic Het Anker brewery in Mechelen before going on to their exciting new distillery venture at nearby Blaasveld where the whisky tasted exceptionally good. The family run brewery and distillery are part of a fascinating story going back generations and well worth a visit. Speyside Tours also highly recommends the brassiere at the brewery where they serve a wonderful stew cooked in their own beer.

Andrew was left to enjoy a game of golf and several Belgian beers in the company of the men whoвҖҷs wives and partners were Mouthy Cows for the day! WeвҖҷve just done the connoisseurs tour and it was worth every penny. The local knowledge and friendliness made the tour even better. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Dufftown. Brilliant value for money
Went on the tour today, it was amazing. Such amazing drams and the food pairings, oh my lord; home-made date cake and Glendronach 18 mmmm.
And Michelle's knowledge and frank commentary was both informative and humorous. A great experience all round.
We were in Speyside for several days. We did a car tour from a different company. And then we did the walking tour with Michelle, and we had a phenomenal time with Michelle! You can tell that she has a passion for what she does. She made me feel like she was an old friend that I had not seen for a while, showing me around her town. And we found out that Speyside Tours also does car tours. Choose them! They work for you, an not for the distilleries.
We took a tour with Michelle in January, and it was the highlight of our time in Scotland. Michelle, a native of the area and former distillery employee, took us on a fun and flavorful journey through the charming streets of Dufftown on a crisp, clear day. We could tell that Michelle is known and well-liked in the community, because we were frequently invited in out of the cold by whomever was tending to the distillery we were visiting.
We learned how to taste the whiskeys to identify different flavors and characteristics, sometimes paired with one of Michelle's mom's delicious baked goods. I felt like I was being let in on some well-kept secrets when she would present us with a rare bottle and describe why it was one of her favorites.
I'd recommend this tour to anyone traveling anywhere near Dufftown, as you'll take the experience with you long after the whiskey buzz has worn off. I hope we get the chance to do it again!
On our recent visit to Scotland, Michelle and Andrew did a phenomenal job for us and could not have been more welcoming and friendly. We had some ideas and thoughts about a whisky tour while we were in the Highlands and Michelle took our ideas, then designed and customized an itinerary ideally to fit our needs, wants, desires and timeframe.
Their advice and local knowledge resulted in an extremely enjoyable day and personalized visit for us. Unfortunately, we were only able to utilize a portion of the services and talent that they share. We plan on revisiting the area again and hope that we can take advantage again of their services, knowledge and experience that we were unable to utilize this time due to our time frame.
We strongly encourage and recommend that anyone visiting the area who is desiring guidance, touring advice and services; to give Michelle and Andrew an opportunity to work with you to create a memorable experience for yourself as well.
My husband and I went on a fabulous tour customized to see the things we were most interested in. Michelle and Andrew were professional and very knowledgeable. They thought of all the details and provided a delicious picnic lunch. They entire day was one to remember! Thanks again!
My husband and I had a fantastic time on the Whisky and Chocolate Tour during our time in Speyside. It was a unique and entertaining way to learn about the distilleries and the history of the area. Michelle was funny, wecolming and informative and had some brilliant stories that we wouldn't have found anywhere else. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend them. Hope we can visit again in the not too distant future!
My fiance and I had an awesome day in Dufftown with Michelle and Andrew. These two took care of everything and made this the best day of our whole Scotland trip. First we went golfing with Andrew who was a great (and very patient) instructor to us novices to the sport. He showed us the right moves and we played a few holes. Afterwards we went for a "scottish picnic" to Michelles and Andrews' house. We thought it was going to be some sandwiches but we were wrong. Michelle went the extra mile and cooked so many delicious things. Properly full we then went on the Whiskey Tour with Michelle where we learned a lot about the distilleries in and around Dufftown and tasted some excellent whiskeys. We can't recommend Speyside Tours enough. It was a fantastic experience!
P.S. Book the golf lessons! It is so much fun!
Michelle is great the tour is not your normal tour and is enjoyable for both whiskey drinkers and none drinkers. We had a fab evening walking round with a small group. Michelle goes that extra mile which gives it that personal touch.
Michelle gave a fantastic tour of Dufftown offering its many Distilleries. She is an extremely personable individual who delivered a light hearted and informative tour. I would recommend her knowledge and expertise any day. One of the highlights of our trip

Her Dufftown Whisky Walk was just one of the many highlights she arranged and organized for an amazing five day holiday for my son and me. She took care of everything. The accommodations she arranged were excellent! Her "picnics" are truly a gourmet experience. And with her extensive knowledge of the area, the "Plan B" or spontaneous changes due to weather or something being closed became some of the best memories of our trip. If you only have one day in Dufftown, by all means do the Speyside Tours Whisky Walk, but if you have the chance to spend more time, do let Michelle handle your arrangements and be your guide.

Her Dufftown Distillery Connoisseur's Walk is absolutely fabulous, a nice and relaxing walk around all 9 Dufftown distilleries with over 15 drams!! Also the Maturation Masterclass and it's special location at the Manager's house of a former distillery was top class, great value for money!! Speyside Tours is definetely a Triple Five Stars organisation!!!
Michelle and Andrew gave us a brilliant visit to Dufftown, arranging golf., Whisky tour., Whisky dinner, Cooperage visit, v comfortable accommodation , scotch picnic plus plus plus - not to mention the very welcome morning tea on arrival after a V long train journey.

I had a great time last week doing the Dufftown Distillery walk. I am not sure what I was expecting, but I didn't imagine the tour would be so informative and humorously honest. I loved the walk and will be definitely recommending it to friends.
Huge huge thank you to Michelle and Andrew for organising our trip to Speyside. The program they put together really immersed us in the local area and community. We tasted some incredible whisky, met some amazing people and saw the glorious countryside as well. An absolute highlight of our long weekend in Scotland. My father and I went on the Connoisseurs tour, which I couldn't recommend highly enough. We learnt a lot, we had plenty of fantastic whiskeys which we wouldn't have tried otherwise, some lovely snacks and Michelle was brilliant.

I had a great time last week doing the Dufftown Distillery walk. I am not sure what I was expecting, but I didn't imagine the tour would be so informative and humorously honest. I loved the walk and will be definitely recommending it to friends.
Huge huge thank you to Michelle and Andrew for organising our trip to Speyside. The program they put together really immersed us in the local area and community. We tasted some incredible whisky, met some amazing people and saw the glorious countryside as well. MichelleвҖҷs personality and honest approach really helped to inject a genuine feel to the Information shared from her wealth of knowledge about local whisky history and production. An absolute highlight of our long weekend in Scotland. My father and I went on the Connoisseurs tour, which I couldn't recommend highly enough. We learnt a lot, we had plenty of fantastic whiskeys which we wouldn't have tried otherwise, some lovely snacks and Michelle was brilliant.
Absolutely the highlight of all the whisky tours we took in Speyside. Michelle is a fantastic tour guide and gave our group great advice on what else to visit in Dufftown too.
Absolutely fantastic tour! My family and I all agreed this was by far the best tour we've ever been on, we couldn't recommend it highly enough! Great value for money for not only sampling a wide variety of top notch whiskeys, but also lots of interesting information and stories along the way, alongside some snacks to complement for added flavour, that really enhanced the experience. I really feel like I've learned a lot!
