Sphinx Medical Ltd manufactures and sells the Flowsecure™ Artificial Urinary Sphincter (AUS) and Artificial Anal Sphincter (AAS) medical devices.
The Flowsecure™ AUS with conditional occlusion is a low pressure, one piece silicone device used to treat severe urinary incontinence. The conditional occlusion gives the patient added assurance of their continence during periods of high abdominal pressure such as sneezing and coughing.
The Flowsecure™ AAS is used for the management of severe faecal incontinence in adult men and women. It aims to overcome the risk of ischaemic complications by simulating the normal physiology of the ano-rectum and reproducing the action of the puborectalis muscle by flattening and angulating the bowel without causing crenation.
Both devices are CE Mark approved and manufactured to the highest standards in Scotland, UK.
