Spill The Beans Cafe

YOUNG FAMILIES STAY AWAY!!! If I could i would give it 0 stars worst cafe in Scotland hands down!! We weren't allow to bring in a pram with our baby whom was sleeping (which was small, had to leave it outside), but you're allowed to bring a huge dog (I love dogs) but seriously!?? The 2 miserable lady waitresses could be a little more hospitable given the amount of happy quotes pictures they had hanging on the cafe walls (look they could of had a terrible day but something got to give). The food was lets say very average to match with the bad service one of us order mushroom soup which tasted burnt so obviously didn't eat it then got question by the waitress rudely "why didnt you finish the soup"!! Tip; dont ask for water as you'll be met with a stern stare! I would not recommend this to any visitors! AVOID IT LIKE A PLAGUE!
Today I asked for a ham roll and a can of juice. Now, maybe my expectations were a little high, maybe I got myself to worked up because of my hunger.
However, it's not impossible that I've used other coffee shops as a benchmark for what I expected to receive this lunchtime.
Let me tell you what I received.
For £3.00 (almost 30 minutes work, on minimum wage), I was gifted 2 slices, now they were fresh, of thin white bread. A touch of "margarine", a solitary wee bit of ham and I'd say, sliced cheese.
Along with this picnic/banquet. I also received a cold can of refreshing lemon tasting, fizzy juice, for £2.10.
In total, £5.10.
£5.10 and the lady didn't have a mask nor, a pistol. Needless to say, I won't be going back. People who blatantly rob tourist in such a way, deserve one star......... shame on you!!!
Great stories. Cosy atmosphere. Good home baking. Reasonably priced.
Small and cosy. Limited menu. Speciality is home bake cakes.
Great stovies could have done with a bigger helping but there again it left room for a scrumptious cake.
Decent homemade bakery goods and coffee. Staff needs a course in hospitality but worth a stop to escape the rain.
Late lunch stop. Food tasty but they had run out of the herb scone which was on the menu with the chicken casserole.
Lovely local food, a great selection of cakes and good service all at reasonable prices.
