The hospital is lovely and the grounds are beautiful. I wish the cleaners were a bit better though because spiders and other people's hair in your room is very off-putting. I had the worst sleep ever, the rooms are not remotely sound proof and you can hear everything going on in the ward! But they are spacious and comfortable. All staff, but one, were lovely. They were very accommodating and caring. The one that wasn't was still nice but she didn't have the same warm nature as the others. All-in-all, I would definitely recommend it here.

The reason I give two stars its such a nice hospital, but they are let down on the front line by not having a good telephone service , sometimes there is no reply at all, at other times it seems that just anybody passing lifts it up.
Come on Spires hosp you can and must do better you have some good consultants here who are being let down by a not very professional phone service.
That can turn people off by thinking if you cant get the front line ok what about the rest.?

In the initial conversation over the phone, and one that followed it, my elderly relative was told she would be examined and offered treatment options for the AMD condition as well as post-cataract surgery complications she was suffering from. After more than two months of waiting for the consultation, a letter from Reading, England came by post asking her to pay a hefty sum (consultation fee) for the appointment, which was supposed to take place a month before, she hadn't even been invited to attend! Further search suggests that the consultants working in the hospital are full-time NHS employes.

This place might be good for people seeking cosmetic treatments that are not covered by the public health services, but for all those medical conditions that are covered--I see no reason whatsoever to be bothered. I don't know what advantages there are in choosing this private hospital as your primal healthcare provider, but the minuses are evident: long waiting times, careless management lacking competency and high level of dissatisfaction among the current employees--yes, those consultants set to treat you. Take your time to read more factual reviews elsewhere to make up your mind.
