What a great Taverna, the perfect balance of simple but effective furnishings and fittings, delicious and authentic Greek food, brilliantly friendly service, for for great value. Highly recommend a visit, and i'm sure you'll be a regular like the many others, not what i expected, but all in a good way! love Spitaki, well done and Thank you!

What a fantastic meal selection of Greek food we had, I had Chicken Suvlaki, tzatsiki, greek salad, crispy potato slices, together with choices from 10 mezes, OH, a lovely , relaxing at Spitaki. So sorry we stay so far away from it (;(;(;

Went for dinner on Saturday evening.. We ordered a number of dishes to share and it was definitely the best Greek food I've ever had! Had a brilliant evening in a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I'd highly recommend this to anybody and will definitely be going back when next in Edinburgh.. think my next holiday may be to Greece now!

We were in Greece this summer fir the first time in 30 years. Dinner at Spitaki transported us back there in the best possible way. This wonŌĆÖt be our last visit. Hope to be there again soon.

We have just returned from Crete and having read reviews decided to give it a whirl. Delighted at how authentic and delicious the food was. Started with smoky aubergine dip and stuffed vine leaves with grilled pitta bread and had chicken souvlaki and lamb chops for mains. All washed down with Mythos Hellenic beer. Very yummy, we will definitely return!

We have been numerous times and just love Spitaki. The food is so fresh and tasty, authentic, incredibly priced and the service is great!!! If this restaurant was on George Street it would be top of all the 'must visit' lists in Edinburgh. Fantastic place and really friendly and welcoming staff! We will definitely be back again and again!

This was my first visit to Spitaki. The food was delicious & I had my first taste of octopus - yummy! Never thought I'd be brave enough but it looked amazing. Food was well presented & good portions. I'll definitely be back.

The silence spoke volumes as we were too busy enjoying the food to talk - really delicious, and different, dishes. The service was great and the taverna tricks you into thinking youŌĆÖre on holiday. Especially on a sunny day. We have already decided on the dishes we want to (re)try when we return.

Quite simply the best Greek restaurant I have been too outside Greece (and it beats plenty in Greece too). My partner is Greek and not easily impressed and she thought it was great too. We will be back!!

Love a chilled night out at Spitaki. Food is always amazing and fresh. Lovely staff too. Just round the corner, it's fast becoming my go-to place when I can't be bothered cooking!!

If you are in or going to Edinburgh, Spitaki is a great family owned and operated Greek Restaurant. The chef is from Greece and his menu is a personal list of traditional favorites. A MUST dine restaurant is a neighbourhood setting.

Great little place, we went for an impromptu lunch with my eldely parents. We got a warm welcome & the food was great. Save some room for dessert, the Baklava & ice cream is soooo nice!!

Best Greek food I've had in 10 years. Anyone in Edinburgh wanting casual dining where food is fresh, cooked to perfection and service is super quick this is the place. Prawn saginaki and octopus sensational.
