Here at spool it’s not just Subaru’s we do , most makes and models really we are not shy to recommend elsewhere if it means your needs will be suited better with anything unfamiliar ..... but we also do bikes , come to our attention that this isn’t really noticed so worth showing , 2t and 4t motorcross / enduro etc specifically , always been a pleasure to us work on these ..... efi or carb if you have issues or require fabrication or repairs / maintenance we may be worth an ask ☺️👍

Well what can I say apart from what a job John made of my car. Done nothing but help me out and full of knowledge and ideas. Thank you very much mate I really appreciate what you done for me

Top man, nothing kept secret from you. Not many men will work day and night these days but John is a dying breed. John made me his top priority and this shows in his workmanship, if you need performance work done or even routine maintenance go to Spool Motorsport, no job too big or small

Just had a gearbox service done on my bmw 535dmsport by John has also worked on my hawk eye Impreza in the past top work and service is always top class bloke to lol!

John is the Man!

He has been servicing, repairing and tweaking my v7 JDM STI since I bought it. In the past three months he got the car from 'zero' (wrecked rear suspension, leaks in the intake system, fault codes all over the place) to 'hero' (a car that drives like new). He did a great job, even though it was not always easy (with every single bolt snapping...).

When I bought the car it was full of shit-surprises hidden everywhere...A few times John had to go the extra mile (sometimes literally and sometimes figuratively) to get parts to fix an unexpected ‘bug’. And I always got the car back on time.

By the way: He can remap too!

Ive known John for a long time now since i was aiming for a build and met him, he is a top lad and his work is second to none, highly excellent work and he is one of many people these days to go out his OWN way for you. Thank you for all the help and work you have carried out on my subaru whenever needed.

If John doesn't know it it's not worth knowing! Had a few things done buy john and seen alot he has done. Guy is a guru!! Top quality work and a big gent who goes above and beyond to get it done!

I have just picked up my car from John`s he has done top class work on my car, John is a very knowledgeable guy when it comes to subarus, he will go out of his way to help you anyway he can, first time i have took my car too him and it certainly wont be the last time it is well worth the drive from Glasgow. Highly recommend him.

Had an engine replaced in my blob wrx by john great service genuine guy goes out his way to help you out and really knows his stuff great quality service highly recommend.

Had a lot of work done by John, clutch, service, timing belt, radiator support reapaird and the icing on the cake today was my decat and map, sounds amazing and drives spot on. John really does know his stuff and is very honest in his opinions about necessary work and has helped me with any questions at any hour of the day! Top Class, 100% recommend him! Awesome service!

Had a few bits done on my blob just picked it up today.the work he has done is fantastic and very fast.great meeting u john and I will definately be back

Excellent sevice from John when he replaced my brake disks on my subaru, even with a siezed bolt on the front brembos, he still persevered and got it sorted. Also done gearbox and different oil change, top man and very reasonable price!

Cracking job last night, new age coil packs fitted to my v1 classic bypassing the igniter and fitted and set up bc coilovers and welded my up pipe. Fantastic job and couldn't be happier!! Highly recommended. And a massive thank you for staying till 3am to get me back on the road :)
