Springbank Distillery

Needs a bit more info on the website about booking a tour. Tried today to get in and found it all locked up, wandered around town for half an hour before a kind local told us you had to buy a ticket from the whisky shop in town. By the time we had messed about, we missed the afternoon time slot.😡

Best tour ever. Not only is the hospitality and friendliness limitless, it is also a great distillery because you can see everything here. Malting is done here on the floors of the building. The malt is dried on site. The barrels are stored here. Don't skip this. Go. You will not regret it.

I really enjoyed the well-made tour trough the distillery. You learned a lot about the history of this place. You could even get a peek at their warehouse!

Scotland's only family-owned distillery which carries out all production processes on-site - from malting to bottling. A working museum it is a must-visit at least once in your lifetime if you're a true Malt Whisky lover.
I've only visited once, during silent season, but I will be back when they're in full production.
