Its been a brilliant 2 days working with everyone who attended to basic welding course. I hope everyone had fun learning the basics. I would like to thank all the dedicated technology teachers and technicians involved. Also the support of the ENTHUSE bursary scheme and the Scottish Association of Metals

The end of the first day of another Fabrication skills course.
The SSERC team have really enjoyed working with everyone today. Time for a rest now for everyone to recharge their batteries ready for day 2.
Final projects to complete tomorrow and look at spot welding and other sheet metal joining techniques.

Really interesting workshop on Circular economy by zero waste Scotland

I'm planning to run another welding course in either March or May.
For it to be viable I would need at least 5 teachers or technicians interested.

What a fantastic 2 days it has been working with all the Technology PGDE students from Strathclyde and Edinburgh University.
The SSERC technology team would like to thank everyone who attended the very first Scottish Universities Technology School. We look forward to working with you all in the future as you progress into your teaching career.

Looking forward to our first Scottish Universities Technology School on tomorrow.
We will be running a range of workshops to support PDGE Technology students over 2 full days.

Hope everyone who attended the Technology workshops at the SSERC 2018 conference had a good time using the Boxford CNC router and lathe.

Day 2 of the hot and cold metal forming course has sadly came to an end.
A massive thank you to all those who attended, it was really good fun and great working with you all. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did.
Time now to start planning the next one..........
