About St Andrew'S First Aid

St Andrew's First Aid is Scotland's dedicated first aid charity, and we are creating confident & resilient communities through: Community First Aid Talks & Demos / / First Aid Event Cover / / Certified Workplace Training / / Youth Groups / / Volunteering.

St Andrew'S First Aid Description

We provide first aid training for every need, including First Aid at Work courses for those who need to comply with health and safety requirements and a range of community based courses for members of the public which give the knowledge and confidence to deal with life's little - and big - emergencies. As the official first aid organisation for some of Scotland's most exciting events like T in the Park, we are known for consistently delivering the highest standards of first aid cover and training.
This site is not for booking event cover or first aid courses and is only monitored during office hours - not weekends.

THOUGHT PIECE: How many more tragic events do we need to read about before first aid becomes an obligatory skill?
''Every day, around 40 children under the age of five are rushed to hospital after choking on something, usually food. Often it can be completely silent with no sound to warn you something is wrong.
''Deaths relating to child choking are mainly preventable and it takes just a few hours of time to teach someone how to confidently provide the right first aid support... to a choking child.
''Yet, according to the latest available information from the Care Inspectorate Annual Report 2018, a quarter (25 per cent) of all nurseries and childcare providers in Scotland have no first aid trained employees to deal with child related first aid incidents.''
