St Andrews Links Description
Recognised the world over as the Home of Golf, St Andrews Links has borne witness to over 600 years of golfing history. That the game evolved and developed into its final form here has never been in question. Golf has been played on the famous Links since as early as the 1400s, and it was here in 1764, when the 22 hole Old Course was reduced, that today's 18-hole round was established, becoming the standard for golf courses the world over.
One golf course has now become seven, and many of golf's most dramatic moments have occurred here. The Links has played host to the game's greats as well as those enthusiastic amateurs for whom the chance to play St Andrews' hallowed turf is a dream come true.

Worth the visit
Played here with my dad back in 2012, old and new courses. It was incredible to walk the fairways you can just feel the history there and the views as you head back to town are great.
Can't wait to bring my son some day.
I made the trip with two of my brothers and two good friens the in July, 2017 and played the Old, New and Jubilee courses and we had the greatest week of our lives! The entire experience was unbelievable and you could feel the soul of Sctland and history oozing from the soil. I can't wait to return there again in the future......Mike Valko, US
Came up on Saturday last for a few days, have been coming for the last Fifteen years and as always the reception you get from staff at the Links is second to none.Played the New, the Jubillee the Eden and the Castle. All in superb condition and warmly welcomed by everyone we met. Will be looking forward to coming back next Year.
