A date for your diaries is Wednesday 28th November when we will be having a concert in the Church. Stonehouse Male Voice Choir will be the entertainment. This is a free event, no need for tickets. It's being done to thank everyone for the tremendous support they've given the 250th Anniverssary Committee over the last 18 months. More details will appear on here regarding time it starts. 250th Anniversary Service Friday 26th October, 2012 & Ordination Of New Elders Sunday 28th October, 2012

If you're in Bellshill today why not call into St. Andrew's Church and view the display that's on Monday to Friday. It's been organised as paret of our 250th anniversary Celebrations. There are some interesting things to see then you can relax over a cup of tea/coffee in the Church cafe. Open 11.00am - 3.00pm. After this week the Church Cafe is always open Mon - Fri 11.00am -1.00pm great place to have a break from your shopping. They serve tea/coffee and light snacks. It's open to members of the public. This is going to be a busy time for the Church with the celebration of the 250th Anniversary in October. Here are some of the events etc. that are going to be happening. NORTH LANARKSHIRE OPEN DOORS EVENT St. Andrew’s will be participating in this. It will take place on Saturday 8th September and Sunday 9th September. The Church will be open, there will be a display set up within the Church. We will also be offering tea/coffee and home baking to all who come along. The c...ommittee will be looking for people to help with the displays; tea/coffee as well as any donations of home baking will be greatly appreciated. Posters will be displayed with times etc. The following week the Church will also be open from 11a.m. – 3p.m. for people to come in and view the displays. This will be Mon 10th – Fri 14th September. If anyone is available on any day it will be appreciated. Local florists have already offered to donate flower displays to enhance the Church. FUN DAY/ OPEN AIR SERVICE This will take place on Saturday 20th October. The fun day will be 10a.m. – 1p.m. with the open air service following it. Ken Honeyman has kindly agreed to lead this service. In the morning there will be a Bouncy Castle (kindly donated by Alan & Karyn Mitchell) – Bouncy Slide – Face Painting – Hook A Duck – Glitter Tattoo’s – Strathclyde Fire Brigade – Strathclyde Police – etc. All the above will be free to the children within the community. CELEBRATION SERVICE Will be held on Friday 26th October in the Church at 6.30p.m. with hospitality in the hall afterwards. Plans for the service will be discussed on Thursday evening at 7.15p.m. when the Committee and the Kirk Session meet. Invitations will be sent out for this service. 250TH COMMUNION SERVICE Will take place in the Church on Sunday 28th October, arrangements are being made for this. We do know the Moderator of the U.F. Church will be with us for both the Friday and Sunday Services. Further updates for all events will follow in the Sunday Newsletter

If anyone does balloons and would like a table at the table top sale tomorrow in the Neilson Hall Bellshill from 10a.m. - 1p.m. please contact me or just come along. you can set up from 9a.m. Person that was doing it let us down tonight.
