Our two wee ships are home for the winter. Time to give them some 'tender loving care' after a busy and adventurous season exploring the Hebrides.
Over the winter we are fitting Seahorse II with two new double/twin en-suites cabins as well as a new dining area. These conversions will make the voyage aboard Seahorse II an even more enjoyable experience!

What an awesome experience..... weŌĆÖve just finished our 8 day whisky and wildlife adventure aboard the St Hilda. The whole trip was fantastic. Christophe and Amy really went out of their way to make the trip such a memorable experience. The food was superb. The trip was great fun. We managed to visit several distilleries and saw lots of wildlife.... so met the brief perfectly. I can really recommend this trip as a relaxing fun adventure not to be missed ¤śĆ thanks Christophe and Amy ¤æŹ

What a wonderful holiday we had sailing out to St Kilda via Mull and Barra . The weather was very kind to us, so not only were we able to get ashore one day, in brilliant sunshine, and climb to the top of the main island Hirta, but also, the next day, we had the privilege of doing a tour of all the islands and stacks. It was just amazing to see the thousands of gannets and other seabirds crowded on to the bare rocks.

We also got to visit Barra on the way back, as well as Canna and Tobermory, all of which which we loved, but the real highlight for us was St Kilda - truly a once in a lifetime experience. Our skipper Christophe and co-skipper Chris, worked hard to get us there and to make us comfortable on the journey, and our chef, Morag, did wonders in the galley, producing delicious meals at all times and even catching, preparing and cooking dabs for us on one occasion and crabs on another. We can't praise the crew highly enough for helping us to enjoy this fantastic voyage

This holiday was like no other: it was stepping into another world where the wind, sun and sea mattered because our lives were held by the ship and these big elemental forces. It was a realm of sea faring lore, laughter and fun, where the elements - water, wind and tides - mattered and shaped and influenced our journey. It's easy to laugh on a ship because you are sharing the camaraderie of crew and ocean and somehow the sea is lighter than the land. Instead you have the myths and stories of sea and mysteries of the deep - Moby Dick, Jonah, Noah's Ark and Ring of Bright Water! It's fascinating to be on a slow journey with time to reflect and to be looking at the strange, populated and then depopulated, fought over Scottish coastal landscape from a new perspectives. It's fun to work with the charming, witty, friendly skippers and fellow crew hauling anchors and sails. But, most of all, it's a joy to be on, and in, and feeling the elemental ocean. I felt safe and found my sea-legs, but I also stumbled into a new world, one that enriches and ignites dreams.

User

Thank you to Chris and Amy for a most enjoyable adventure. We visited places that will stay in our thoughts throughout the winter months ahead. Amy's cooking was exceptional and Christophe a very informative guide and skipper. We would love to return.

My daughter and I spent a week on the St. Hilda at the end of June. It was definitely the highlight of my five weeks in Scotland. Right there with playing golf at Royal Troon and Muirfield a couple of weeks prior. Christophe was a great skipper. Very safety conscious and very patient with us while teaching us how to anchor and put the dingy down. Great tour guide as well. Morag had a real challenge cooking for 2 vegans, a vegetarian, and a lactose intolerant person. The food was wonderful, every for us meat eaters. Morag and my daughter spent much of the trip looking for otters including a night time venture returning about midnight without success. They were successful the last evening. Only disappointment was the lack of sailing time. The weather was so nice that we didn't get any strong winds - just sunny days and warm weather.

We are trying to figure out how to get back..perhaps the longer trip to St. Kilda

Just back from the sail to St Kilda on St Hilda - perfect weather and if you want to go to and see places these 'floating hotels' simply can't get to then this is the way to go. It was a long sail from Oban with a couple of stops before the final stretch to St Kilda but there is something in-keeping with your final destination to sail at around 5 knots eventually finding yourselves out of sight of all land and then to quietly 'tiptoe' into Village Bay at St Kilda almost giving a gentle wave to say 'hello, we're here'.

Breathtaking scenery and standing looking down into the bay with Puffins etc flying around your head does give you a different perspective on life and how beautiful and simplistic nature is compared to the hectic lives we all now seem to lead.

The whole experience was second to none - great crew (felt totally safe at all times), great food and great company. Bonus was no mobile phone signal, just like holidays used to be, the only communication with home was a postcard which arrived after your got back!

Thanks to Christophe, Chris and super Chef Morag for a memorable holiday.

Just back from a trip around lochs and through the Crinan canal and we had a fantastic time. If you want an adventure try this holiday!

I had a lovely time onboard St Hilda! Both the crew and other guests were lovely and a fun group to spend time with. The food was excellent and plentiful. Luckily, we mainly had great weather and got to enjoy some wonderful views. It is so easy to lose yourself in the beautiful scenery and the sound of the waves. I really enjoyed the relaxed and calm atmosphere of the cruise!
