St James Dollar Description

St James Dollar is part of the Scottish Episcopal Church which reaches back to the times of the Celtic saints in Scotland. St James's is in the Diocese of St Andrews, Dunkeld and Dunblane, a vibrant community of churches each with its own atmosphere, calling and gifts. If you'd like to find out more about the Scottish Episcopal Church visit http://www. standrews. anglican.org/

When you visit St James's you will find it is surrounded by a beautiful and peaceful garden with flowers, trees and a labyrinth. Whether you are often in Dollar or just passing through, all visitors are welcome to enjoy the garden.

The peaceful atmosphere continues inside the church with its many beautiful windows and features, enlivened on the first Sunday of every month and over the summer with the children's soul space.

St. James’s is a very sociable church. Our common church life is focused around our worship on Sundays and Thursdays, on our prayer life and desire to serve others. Our Sunday services are at 8. 30 (said Eucharist) and 10. 30 (sung Eucharist) and the first Sunday of each month is an all-age family service.

You may be asking, why is St James's profile picture a scallop shell? The scallop shell is the symbol for St James, one of the Galilean fishermen who became Jesus' first disciples.

Whether you are an individual, a couple or a family on life's journey, you are most welcome at St James's. See our website for more details or just drop by. We look forward to meeting you.
