The annual Pilgrimage to Dunfermline in honour of St. Margaret will be made on Sunday 02 June. From 11:00 there will be visits to sites associated with St. Margaret’s life. A Christian Aid Coffee Morning will be held on Saturday 11 May 09:30-11:30 in the North Church Hall, Buckie. Assistance on the day (even for one hour – that would be wonderful) would be very much appreciated. If you are willing to help or to provide home baking or to offer bric-a-brac, please get in touch. The 21 st Diocesan Golf Outing for the Bishop’s Golden Jubilee Trophy will be held at Kintore Golf Club on Friday 28 June from 12:00 noon. The deadline for entries is 30 May. The cost per entrant of £40 includes one round of golf and a two-course supper. A downloadable team registration form is available at www.rcda.scot

Funeral Arrangements for Mgr. Robert McDonald RIP
Mgr. Robert will be received into the chapel at Pluscarden Abbey on Sunday 24 March at 4.00pm.
The Funeral Mass will take place at Pluscarden on the following day, Monday 25 March, at 12 noon.
... Bishop Hugh will be the Principal Celebrant and Homilist.
After the Mass, Mgr. Robert will be laid to rest in Dufftown cemetery.
Refreshments will be available to guests at Pluscarden, following the funeral.
Given that Monday is the Solemnity of the Annunciation, the prayers of the Proper will be observed, together with those of Commendation.

Mgr Robert McDonald died at 11.20pm last night (Thursday 15th March ) in Dufftown Hospital.
Funeral arrangements will be sent out as soon as possible.
May he rest in peace.

Throughout Lent a tradition which was revived three years ago will be continued: Station Masses will be celebrated in churches across the Deanery. The first Station Mass will be offered this Wednesday, 13 March, at 11:00 in St. Sylvester’s, Elgin. The following Wednesday (20 March) the Station Mass will be offered at 11:00 in St. Margaret’s, Forres. All most welcome. In view of the distances involved in participating in these mini-pilgrimages, perhaps car sharing can be arranged.

You are invited to participate in a Jubilarians’ Mass in St. Mary’s Cathedral, Aberdeen, at 12:00 noon this Monday, 11 March. The Mass will be offered to mark the anniversaries of the Ordination to the priesthood of Bishop Emeritus Peter Moran (60 years), Canon Peter Barry (50 years), Fr. Derick McCulloch (25 years), and of Deacon John Woodside (25 years). Refreshments will be served in the Main Hall after the Mass.
