It’s SQA Exam Results day and, while we know there will be lots of celebrating going on, some students may feel like their results aren’t what they’d hoped for.
Inspired by the Developing the Young Workforce campaign, we asked our colleagues at Stagecoach Head Office to reflect on their career journey – from leaving school to where they are now.

We’ve got some very exciting news to share...
We’ve partnered with bus manufacturer Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL) and technology company Fusion Processing to produce the UK’s first single deck autonomous bus.
Once complete, the 12m ADL Enviro200 vehicle will be completely autonomous and able to operate without a driver in an off-road environment. The technology also delivers road safety benefits when driven in manual mode.
... In the short term, the bus will be used in autonomous mode only within the depot environment, to carry out movements such as parking and moving into the fuelling station and bus wash. Using self-driving vehicles within depots more widely could help improve safety, efficiency and space utilisation within the depot.
Work on the vehicle is being carried out at ADL’s site in Guildford and the bus is expected to be ready for use by the end of this year.

Stagecoach East Midlands want to thank everyone who came along and celebrated with them and we're sure people will be excited to see the new buses out on the roads! Keep an eye out for the new double-deckers, which replaced the current buses on the Mansfield-Nottingham Pronto service this week. They’re brand new, high spec with WiFi, USB charging points and highly energy efficient. Summer is here and so is our new look mobile ticket! The new design has a banner with a daily word and moving background which you'll see on your active ticket(s). This helps our drivers check tickets quickly and easily, helping to speed up boarding time!
