Great little Pub, with some great home cooked hearty food. It has a very 'local feel' and a warm atmosphere, and don't expect to find any phone signal making it a place to sit and chat.. like the olden days! Sundaes to die for too!

I had a lovely meal in the Stair Inn. I was especially impressed with the choices on the menu, the quality of the food and the ale.

Stair Inn is a friendly and inviting venue for a meal or a quiet drink. The well stocked bar serves at least one and occasionally two real ales, malt whiskies and a selection of wines. The menu leans towards dishes that feature locally sourced fresh meat, fish and vegetables. The tasteful decor is in keeping with the surroundings with bespoke timber furnishings. The letting rooms are similarly furnished. There are no bus stops near this rural location, but there is a sizeable car park and it is in close proximity to the River Ayr Walk.

Great country Inn, good beer, good food friendly atmosphere.

A friendly, family owned country inn with a cosy bar which has a wood burning fire. Bespoke furniture features strongly in both the bar and restaurant and also in all of the six letting rooms. Quality meals are served throughout the day and the well stocked bar has at least one real ale on tap at all times. The Stair Inn is in the 2017 edition of the Good Beer Guide published by CAMRA. The Stair Inn cannot be easily reached using public transport.

Lovely place to stay and to eat, really nice and friendly staff as well.
