Very nice Starbucks! Staff is very friendly.

Dirty in a quite a few places, especially the bathroom! However it still had quality products and service was decent

Darren with short spiky hair was on the till. I asked what a cool lime refresher was, he said 'it's cold, tastes of lime and it's a drink. Do you want it or not?'

I didn't feel I said anything to deserve this particularly, the lovely woman making the coffees made my drink then asked what the other drink I ordered was. So I told her a latte. Then she looked at Darren then back at me as if to say he was just that kind of guy...

I understand it's a busy time during the fringe but there was literally nobody else in the queue before or after me...

Shame to be treated that way when spending nearly £10 on two drinks.

Place of many drinks. Some nice. Some not so.

Better than average Starbucks with a good staff. Add a star if you're a Starbucks regular but otherwise you can find better coffee at a number of places within a couple of minutes.

The staff are friendly and service is efficient.

It's a good startbucks, a bit off the beaten track although it is still technically on the Royal Mile. Not far from the new parliament, it is quiet and good for reading a book, studying or even working if you really have to.

Come in here virtually every weekend for a post-walk drink and snack - the service & staff are excellent but toilet cleanliness can be a bit 'meh'.

The lighting system is rather too bright and, as I write this, my ears are being assaulted by some smooth swinging jazz which is only slightly less painful than root canal surgery. (To be fair, on previous visits the music choice has been an awful lot better).

Would definitely recommend it if in the area but, despite it being - to date - the only place I've ever seen a sausage dog being transported in a pushchair, i would not walk 500 miles to get here ...
