Hi everyone, my apologies for the radio silence over the last few months - I've recently moved to another part of the UK and Stargazing Scotland has taken a back burner for the time being. I've been trying to change my page name to reflect this but Facebook has prevented me from doing so. I will continue to share my images of the night sky and post astronomy updates; watch this space for tours in the future. For now though, here's my first image of M31 or the Andromeda Galaxy..., details are below for my fellow astrophotography geeks ;)
Canon 5dIII with 100-400mm at 400mm Mounted on a skywatcher star adventurer Approximately 1 hour of lights and 1 hour of darks stacked in Starry Sky Stacker for Mac Stars are a little soft as my tripod's not the sturdiest!

Thanks to this lovely family who braved a very midgy night and joined me for a private stargazing tour recently. We had brilliant clear views at Clatteringshaws. The milky way was just starting to become visible through the bright summer skies. It won't be long now before you can see it in all it's glory against a truly dark sky! We saw Jupiter and it's moons, Saturn, the andromeda galaxy, the double cluster in Perseus, noctilucent clouds and more.

Fantastic milky way images from the Brecon Beacons taken by clients of Dark Sky Wales. Roll on August and dark skies!

First gravitational waves and now this. The neutrino detection is a big deal indeed - it represents another new kind of astronomy! It's certainly an exciting time to be interested in all things astro.

Juno still continues to amaze! Here's an image from a flyby of Jupiter in may

Wow, only 2 likes away from reaching the 2000 milestone! when Helen and I first started trading 3 years ago we had no idea we would end up being followed by so many people who share our passion for the night sky. Thank you to everyone who's attended stargazing events, tours or an astrophotography evening with me in the park or supported our business. Jesse
