We originally went to Steak, Cattle & Roll Sauchiehall Street but they were fully booked. The girl there phoned the Merchant City to see if they had any tables and booked one for us which was great. Arrived at the Merchant City restaurant and we were seated. The restaurant is placed inside the square and gives a great atmosphere. Food was amazing my partner and I both had different burgers. She had pool porker (steak burger, pulled pork and coleslaw) I had steak, cattle & roll burger (steak burger with steak on top and peppercorn sauce) both were delicious with a side of signature chips ( seasoned chips, onion, cheese and generously sliced steak on top) price was ok. Would fully recommend and will be back.

We have been twice in the past two days haha. Morgana took care of us on both occasions and she was so sweet and friendly.

She couldn’t have been more helpful. I had vegan chicken tenders and my partner had a different burger each night I think the kansas and the godfather. He enjoyed them both and each time we got fries to share. They were fantastic.

Really impressed with the vegan chicken tenders. I have tried other seitan chicken replacements but this was the best. It was soft and juicy. Really happy! Will definitely be back!

We found this place by chance when going to a concert in the old fruit market. The food was so good so we have returned twice since then. My husband loves the steak Cattle and Roll burger. My mum And I had the steak salad and we all shared a portion of seasoned fries. You cannot go to Steak Cattle and Roll and not order the seasoned fries they are the best ever. The salad is delicious with just enough dressing to add flavour but not dripping wet. All washed down with a nice bottle of red wine. We decided to try the nutty strawberry doughnut ring, this would satisfy enough sugar crazy chocoholic. If you are ever in the merchant square and fancy a coffee and something sweet try this out you will not be disappointed

We found this place by chance on Sunday evening while looking for somewhere to eat that catered for my wife as she is a vegan. The last place you would think to look would be a restaurant called steak cattle and roll. But when looking at the menu to see if there was anything other than chips that my wife could eat we were very surprised to see lots of vegan options, not just mains but drinks and deserts as well.

The food was really tasty my wife ordered the vegan southern fried chicken wrap and a side of chips. I ordered the steak.

Very impressed with the meal and my wife was happy that she could order something without explaining what a vegan is to the staff.

I chose not to have a desert as I was full but my wife had a vegan banoffee with hot caramel sauce, needless to say she enjoyed it a lot, she went as far to say that it’s the best meal she’s had in 30 years of being a vegan.

A great evening in lovely surroundings and a nice relaxed atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and efficient.

We will definitely go there again when we next visit Glasgow it was one of the highlights of our stay.

Really enjoyed my visit Saturday night. Didn’t book anywhere chanced it & was able to get a table within an hr. Menu despite the name does cater for vegans, so that’s a plus. I had the Canadian burger & it was lovely 3 of us all had a different meal & shared a portion of fries. Suggest 1 portion between 3/4 they are huge. Will definitely be back much more to choose from. The staff were polite & friendly & not annoying at all

Popped in for quick pint n bite to eat with the wife, staff was lovely n for the price of the special couldn’t go wrong. Great to sit outside n watch world go by. Definitely be back 👍🏻👍🏻

My husband and I have been coming here for years (previously Weaver St and now The Merchant City) - we've never had a bad experience. I fancied something different yesterday and had the panko/seitan burger - the best I've ever had and the curry sauce on the side is the perfect partner for it. We had several cocktails each too - so good. The service was great as usual and we felt looked after. This 'diner' has come along leaps and bounds over the years and we look forward to many more visits - thank you ;)

My favourite place to go � food is so so good and the desserts are to dye for. The Staff are so attentive and can’t do enough for you. Will look forward to next time... Thanks Steak Cattle Roll ��

Food was fab we had burgers chips,and a side of onion rings everything tasted great,only criticism was the service was very slow but it was worth the wait once food came and is was very busy

Excellent! We had a wee impromptu day out. Burger was great Kiria our server recommended my chicken burger and let us have a taste of the cola bbq sauce. Thanks Kiria thumbs up for service.

Food portions were generous and prices were good, my partner and I both really enjoyed our meal here. Will definitely recommend to other and we will be returning to try more off the menu.

Came here with my partner for my birthday meal and wasn’t disappointed, food is beautiful, my chicken burger was that big I ended up having to use a fork and knife cause I couldn’t lift it lol. Think I have found my new place to eat when I’m in Glasgow. Fantastic service also.

Waited 30 minutes just for our drinks. Had to ask where our food was. Told it had been ordered but it had just 'been moved around'. What does that even mean? Then told it was just being put on and would take 5 minutes. From my reconning that means we should have had it 25 minutes ago. Having said that, food was great when it finally came.

Great place for vegans to eat, service and food was lovely. Good place to go if there are meat eaters with the party. Very big portion of onion rings & sweet potato chips. Easily can feed 4 people. Chips a little too salty, but thts just my preference as I don't take salt.
