Good morning & happy wedding day to Suzanne and Scott! Have we a few sore heads in Innerleithen this morning? The parade looked amazing from the photos I’ve seen 👏 Here is a snap of the lovely Ingrid’s bouquet from her Dryburgh Abbey Hotel wedding last weekend ☺️🌿

It was fun to design something different for florists to photograph at their local business club in Aberdeen. It was lovely to meet so many florists up North and host the first event of hopefully many. I returned to the shop today to get to work on Suzanne’s wedding flowers for her wedding tomorrow and to make a start on Games Week orders. We then have Kelsey’s wedding to get started on next ☺️

It’s so hard to get a good pic but here is our Games Week window displays! I have a small feeling Gin was the theme at Ingrid & Adrian’s wedding at Dryburgh Abbey Hotel... 🍾 What do we think? I think it would have been lots of fun to have had to sample each table centres gin prior to adding the flowers 😉 however, the designs may not have been completed had that been the case 🙈

We so loved Nicola's bright and cheery choice in flowers for her bridal bouquet. It was lovely to come away from pastel tones for her wedding arrangements :-)

Games Week has landed. We've been proudly supplying the Standard Bearer & his Lass with flowers since 2013 so were delighted when SBL 2018 Rosie popped in to order flowers for this year. Good morning ☀️ I’ve been up early adding the finishing touches to both Nicola and Ingrid’s wedding flowers. Our venues today are Mercure Barony Castle Hotel & Dryburgh Abbey Hotel. Sorry for the silence! It’s been all go here 🌿 We’ve been getting our Games Week decorations up, working on both Nicola & Ingrid’s weddings, we held a birthday party in the shop for the Junior Florist (this involved flower arranging, nail painting and a surprise visit from the ice cream van), I’ve been planning a business get together in Aberdeen for next week and of course keeping on top of the day to day orders and deliveries... So what better image to share than one our lovely bride Rona sent across today. Her Wedderburn Barns wedding was a pleasure to be a part of and was beautifully captured by Photography 78.

It’s my Junior Florists birthday today! Shyla is 7 and to complete her floral design tea party we asked Nicola at Ruby and Pearl Cake Art to design her a special cake. Shyla loves her pony and collecting rosettes so I asked Nicola to incorporate a rosette somehow and this is what she created! I truly believe when you give creative people free reign you will receive the most amazing results. Cannot wait to tuck into this in a few hours! Check out her cakes, they are masterpieces!

Happy Monday! It’s raining. I forgot what that was like. I also forgot to bring all of the laundry in last night 🤦‍♀️
Today is mummy daughter cinema day which I’ve been promising Shyla since she gave me the cinema voucher for my birthday back in December 🙈 Tomorrow is her 7th birthday, how has this happened? Time has flown by so today I’m going to try enjoy every inch of her confident, argumentative and cheeky little self.
The shop is open from 9am tomorrow as normal folks ...with fresh flowers arriving for the week ahead.

We do love a Wedderburn Barns wedding! Saturday saw Bryony & Brodie tie the knot in a beautiful outdoor ceremony in the courtyard. It was picture perfect, I cannot wait to see how Jen Owens Images captured their day. I bet Bryony made the most beautiful bride! Congratulations guys 🌷

Absolutely delighted to be providing both Osso Restaurant & Cocoa Black with fresh flowers. These are two of my favourite places to treat myself locally so it makes me all the more happy that I get to deliver to them on a weekly basis!

Are your kids taking part in the Games Week Children’s Flower Parade? Its two weeks today (21st), starting at 11am on Hall Street 🌿 The flowers will be donated to local hospitals and care homes afterwards - we love that part! I cannot put into words how enjoyable it was to work with so much foliage for Clare & George's wedding at Dryburgh Abbey Hotel. Their love of plants and the outdoors was obvious in all parts of their wedding and I loved the effort they put into all the small touches. Here are a couple photos of Clare's bouquet...

Stems were my florist for our wedding on the 1st October and I’m so glad we chose them! Emma and Rachel are both absolutely fantastic and a dream to work with. They produced bouquets, flower girl wands , pedestals and centrepieces which were more beautiful than I could ever have imagined. Nothing was too much trouble and I literally couldn’t have been any happier with our wedding flowers. Our guests were full of compliments for our florist. Thanks again ladies, you are both very talented and I still love looking at all the pictures of our wedding flowers.

I wasn't sure about getting in touch with the most reputable florist in the borders as we were on such a tight budget for our wedding. I'm so glad I did! Emma was very respectful of our budget and our flowers were beautiful! The special touch in my bouquet meant the world to me, thank you so much for helping me to incorporate someone who couldn't be there xx

From start to finish Stems were fantastic. We went down for an open day with no idea what we wanted for our wedding, we only had the colours of the kilt. Em took the time to sit with us and go through different ideas but was never pushy and we didn't ever feel rushed.

Throughout the build up to the wedding Em was in contact loads, even calming my nerves about selling our flat and buying a new place!

She regularly made sure we were happy with everything and it was no trouble to make changes or add extra things when I had miscounted the number of tables!

On the day of the wedding Rach delivered our flowers and they were so beautiful. My bouquet bought a tear to my eye. The colours matched perfectly and I had lots of compliments about how lovely the flowers were.

Do not hesitate to book Stems, you won't be disappointed.

Emma made me the most beautiful heart shaped wreath made up of different purple florals for my recently deceased partner.

Her service was fantastic as it was quit short notice and had to wait on what she needed arriving from Holland she went out her way to make it in her own time and deliver it to me just in time for funeral.

I was over the moon with them and very grateful at her kindness.

I will defiantly recommend Emma at stems to everyone!

Did an outstanding job in capturing our hopes and everyone said they were totally fantastic, the table centre pieces were exquisite and the corsages for our Mums and Sisters were wonderfully bespoke. Even the bouquet for our friend was tailored to perfection. Our buttonholes I have pressed to keep as a memory of the day and our aunts and guests were gifted the centre pieces which lasted weeks after the event. A truly gifted florist and charming young woman.
