Why do we train the way we do? Because it changes your body quick. ‚Ā£ ‚Ā£ Many people when they join a commercial gym will spend an hour or so on a cardio machine. Largely because they know how to work it and feel comfortable with that.‚Ā£ ‚Ā£ This turns into doing more and more cardio each time - leading to boredom or seeing little change. ‚Ā£... ‚Ā£ At Steve Marsden Fitness, we try and make sure all bases are covered and in the right order.‚Ā£ ‚Ā£ 1. Nutrition‚Ā£ 2. Resistance Training (weights)‚Ā£ 3. Cardio‚Ā£ ‚Ā£ We provide nutrition support outside of the gym with our recipe books, nutrition coaches, accountability and restaurant guides. We coach you through all your workouts ensuring you are completing things safely, effectively and to your ability. Debbie is the strongest woman I know.
Last year she lost her husband of 25 years after a 2 year battle with Motor Neurone Disease.
She used the gym to deal with her stress, unleash some negativity and keep healthy despite what was going on.

When you're trying to change your body, what you eat can make or break your results.
At Steve Marsden Fitness, we support you to hit your goals through food - but not at the expense of the other aspects of your life. Here's how:
1) We assign you a coach that will check in with you on a weekly basis and help you plan meals, shopping and strategies for the weekend and week ahead.
... 2) We provide a private Facebook group where you can set goals publicly and then be held accountable to all of the Steve Marsden Fitness Fam. This is optional of course ūüėä
3) We hold diet surgeries every other Thursday. You can come and chat to one of our coaches about what to eat on the weekend, how to hit your goals and the best way to stick to a diet for YOU!
4) Every month we release a recipe book full of breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert and snack ideas. They're healthy, easy to cook and will help you towards your goals.

I'm actually so proud of the work Anna has done in the last few months. She looks so different and has completely changed her bodyshapeūüėć
... She's so much stronger and fitter and this has helped her job as a student nurse ūüí™ currently she's being writing her dissertation which is usually a time where stress, pressure and boredom can lead to comfort eating but Anna has managed this so well!
She is also so supportive to newer members of the SMF family! ūüĎ®‚ÄćūüĎ©‚ÄćūüĎß‚Äćūü϶ On Thursday night she coached another member through squats and it was amazing to see a member help someone else - this is exactly what we are about! ūüĎ®‚ÄćūüĎ©‚ÄćūüĎß‚Äćūü϶

I'm so proud of what this gym is becoming.
This place is about discovering how amazing your body is, learning how to get fit, strong and powerful and then balance the outside world so you love yourself that little bit more.
Last night we trained 26 people in 4 hours. They sweat, laughed and then stayed to chat to the other people who shared that experience.

This is Janine. She is one of the Steve Marsden Fitness founding members and she has an incredible and heartbreaking story to share ūüėĘ:
"This day 3 years ago my life was turned upside down when this wee soldier was diagnosed with Cancer.
I never imagined that id be that parent sat there hearing the words your child has CANCER. Nothing can describe that feeling.ūüíĒ... However Quinn has handled it all with such amazing courage and strength and i am forever greatfull that he hasnt been taken away from me. He only has a matter of weeks left of active treatment.ūüí™ūüí™
So with saying that. Iv decided to run the Edinburgh HALF MARATHON in may 2019 as part of Team MacMillanūüíö
They were an amazing support for me and my family during a heartbreaking time. They not only supported myself and Quinn but my mum too as she was diagnosed 10 days after Quinn."
