Emma & Tessa. . . the back story
Although the girls met 'officially' in 2014, they could both be found practising yoga next to each other 2 /3 times a week with their good friend Julie Smeaton at Canning Street Yoga long before that.
With a shared love for hot power yoga, a tonne of mutual friends and both Edinburgh girls born and bred, it wasn't long until the girls introduced themselves to each other and hit it off straight away.
In a short space of time, a lot has happened for the this dynamic duo. In 2015 the girls underwent their RYT 200 hour yoga teacher training at Meadowlark Yoga, before taking their training a step further with a 60 hour Pregnancy Yoga course this year. They now also work together in lululemon athletica in Edinburgh and love nothing more than getting out and about and connecting with the health & wellness community in the city.
Although it was yoga that brought the girls together in the first instance, a solid and trusting friendship has been forged and continues to flourish. Who else can you work with every day, socialise with in your spare time and still never run out of things to talk and laugh about?! Not many! They've even made their husbands friends!
The connection Emma & Tessa have through their love of yoga is something truly special. Although very similar in some ways, the girls bring a unique quality to their classes and are naturally quite different in their teaching styles. Emma prefers the more dynamic, faster paced vinyasa style of yoga while Tessa opts more for the yin and restorative side of yoga. Together they make the perfect yin & yang.
