Be proud to be a Strathclyder! Strathclyde's Alumni Community: stay connected, access benefits, get involved.
Strathclyde Alumni Community Description
This is the University of Strathclyde's Facebook page aimed mainly at our global alumni community of former students. We also encourage current students to follow the page in preparation for becoming a member of the alumni community! We hope that our community of followers will use the page to find out more about Strathclyde and its alumni.
This page is managed by the Alumni & Development team, the department within the University responsible for developing lifelong relationships with Strathclyde’s former students. A number of staff are Administrators and can post as ‘Strathclyde Alumni Community'.
We will use this page to post:
- Responses to your queries
- Anything we think might interest you from around the campus and around Glasgow
- News stories and press releases
- News of alumni awards and success stories
- Videos and photographs from graduation
- News of upcoming events and photographs of previous events
- News of fundraising opportunities and the impact that your gifts are having on current students, projects and members of the wider community

Two Strathclyders were recently given the opportunity to join other students from universities across the UK for a private screening of the UEFA Champions League Final between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.
The event took place at Tottenham Hotspur’s new ground and the students were able to take part in a thought leadership session, Q&A with ex-players, hospitality and screening of the match. This opportunity was courtesy of University partner, and official UEFA Champions L...eague sponsor, @Santander Universities.
Chelbi said: "The event was amazing from start to finish. We got to hear motivational speakers talk and it really gave me a different perception of how to tackle tasks. We also had the pleasure of interviewing Dennis Wise, Tanya Oxtoby and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. It was an amazing networking opportunity and gave me the chance to socialise with people from prestigious universities all over the UK."

Introducing our Alumna of the Year – Joyce Msuya 🎓🙌🥳
Joyce travelled from Nairobi to pick up her award and gave a truly inspirational speech about her time at Strathclyde and beyond.
A qualified microbiologist and environmental scientist, she has more than 20 years’ experience in the field of international development.
... Joyce said: “I am so honoured to receive this recognition because I truly believe that Strathclyde shaped me as a person and my vision of the world.”
She now works as UNEP Deputy Executive Director and Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations.
