Street Soccer Scotland

A big shout out to Gold & Gray Soccer Academy who have been delivering a coach education course to our volunteers and sessional staff in Edinburgh over the last three weeks. Hosted at the Jack Kane Centre on Tuesday mornings the course has included learning coaching drills and techniques and working on communication, planning and teamwork.
With the final training day coming up on Tuesday Street Soccer Scotland participants will be planning and delivering their own structured coaching sessions to each other.

On Saturday, Street Soccer Scotland were proudly a local charity partner at the Tough Mudder UK 5k in the City event that took place in Edinburgh! Thanks to all our players, volunteers and partners who helped with the event and made it such a fun day! Overcoming obstacles is what we do at Street Soccer Scotland! ­¤Æ¬­¤Æ¬

** update** All the registration spots are now filled so if you can volunteer on the 25th the time slots we need help with are 7am-3pm and you will still be given a code to run at another Tough Mudder event.
Friends!! Street Soccer Scotland and Together for Homelessness are in need of a final few volunteers as we pair up with Tough Mudder in Edinburgh on Aug 25th!
... In return for your valuable time you can run another Tough Mudder for free (or maybe even this one depending on numbers), get lunch, parking and food plus its all in the name of helping good old Street Soccer Scotland and Together for Homelessness raise awareness of what we do!
There's no fundraising to it- just some whooping, cheering and pushing people over obstacles!!

Street soccer is a great way to get out the rut u think your in from day to day life they changed my life personally around in 6 mounths of workin with me now I have numerous coachin badges and a job threw them and also take part in drop in sessions and being able to chill and relax round people who trust and respect u just as much as you should trust and respect them best thin in my life is street soccer #fact

Its changed my life thanks street soccer

I was stuck in a rut a few years back with no job or healthy outlook on life. I didn't know what direction to go but SSS helped me find the right path and gave me all the help, advice, support and confidence I needed to get back to where my passion lay. Football works gave me a new outlook and meaning and the drive to get to where I was happiest and doing what I had previously lived for (Sport). They gave me the chance to help others and with my new self confidence, I made the decision to go back into education. They helped me apply for a course and 3 years later I have various SFA coaching qualifications, a BTEC level 2 and 3 in sport and exercise and I'm now coming to the end of my first year in HND Sports Therapy. SSS helped me find myself again and things just keeps getting better.

Helping those who will benefit so much from the kindness and belief of others.

Had a great day out travelling from Inverness to the event in Aberdeen today, great atmosphere, great competition and great event staff. I look forward to the next one
