Struans Peugeot Perth

Just bought a 2016 Mazda3 from my local dealership in Perth - Struan Motors. The salesman (Crawford) was very knowledgable and gave me a fantastic deal and more than I had expected for my old Fiesta. I had received recommendations from a couple of friends and I can see why. A friendly atmosphere, no pushy sales and nice coffee and mints to boot!!

Me and my husband have been a customer of Syrians Peugeot since 2002 - first for servicing of company cars and then when I changed job - buying. Have just purchased my 3rd Peugeot from Struans and am delighted with the car. The sales process was relaxed - no high pressure sales and the sales staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The service department is equally helpful and it is no trouble to get a left to and from work or into town while my car gets serviced. As a family business - it is a much better experience than other car sales outlets that we visited - before going back to Struans to buy. I remain a loyal customer.

I was charged £90 to have 2 pieces of sticky tape put on to stop a rattle in the roof of my mx5 which came off 2 days later! I was also charged for the cost of sending a part back as I decided not to go ahead with the repair. I have used Struans for 35 years but not any more.

Just bought a car from here and I am delighted with the service I have received. Salesman Craig is a credit to your Company and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Struans to friends and family.

Went in here with a view to buying a used car. Upon entering the salesman didn't even look up from what he was doing . I waited 5 mins still ignored. So i walked straight back out. . I went 5 mins down the road and bought the exact model I was interested in on your forecourt from a more curtious dealership. Your rude salesman cost you a very expensive sale ..

Nice cars with good prices

Travelled here to view a £28500 used car , wasn't even offered a coffee and the vehicle on lifting the bonnet looked like it had been parked in a muddy pond ! Was told by the salesman it had belonged to a farmer and hadn't been valeted properly . Poor as the car had been on their forecourt for a number of weeks but glad I saw it in its true misused state which made the car then much overpriced . They weren't even interested in any negotiation not that I would've contemplated buying it after what I saw .

Despite buying my 2010 VW Passat less than 6 months earlier from Struan Motors, I was charged £176 to repair a fuel filter leak which had shredded the alternator belt. I was shocked that I was being charged at all as I had been told there was a 6 month guarantee, however there turns out to be a get-out 6000 mile limit and I had no option as nearly every system on the car had failed by the time we reached their premises. Most galling of all is that Struan Motors quote £80 for the repair when phoning for comparisons (we did this after the event as it seemed very expensive) and when challenged they claimed that the difference covered the cost of 'investigation'.

Their MD replied to my complaint with a letter agreeing all the salient facts and saying that he found no fault with their service.
