About Student Enterprise Society - Sesoc Edinburgh

SeSoc stands for Student Enterprise Society of The University of Edinburgh. We are a careers-focused society that runs events such as workshops and business competitions.

Student Enterprise Society - Sesoc Edinburgh Description

Founded in 2003, SESoc (formerly iCue) aims to improve students employability through various activities, workshops and skills sessions. SeSoc welcomes all students who have an interest in business and are looking to progress their career prospects regardless of year or degree discipline.

Students will receive exposure to a range of companies who they can network with at all of our events. Our first semester consists of weekly activities including case study workshops, applications masterclass, our 'Pitch Perfect' competition and many more.

In the second semester our focus will be on ‘The Edinburgh Apprentice’ competition that enables students to develop real-life business skills and increase their employability. Throughout the year, we also have regular social events for each member to have fun along the way and to expand their professional network inside and outside the business world.

We will be recruiting our Edinburgh Apprentice Project Teams in October every year - these students are the backbone of the competition; planning, securing sponsorship and judges and running the competition itself. Send an email to studententerprisesoc@gmail.com for more details.

We hope that by performing real-world business tasks, our members will acquire the practical business skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and contacts that will ensure them to stand out in the tough graduate market.
