Studio 5 Crafts & Gifts

We are running another fun day at Drumlanrig Castle. On Sat 26th October with kids activities and storytelling by popular local author Rolf Buwert. Running from 11-3 we will have games, a spooktacular trail and craft activities. The adventure playground and castle gardens are open at the special October rate of £2 per adult and £1 per child. Refreshments and light snacks will be availiable in the old Stableyard Cafe with proceeds from this going to cash for kids.

Today Christine is at Castle Douglas art gallery manning the Scotia Crafters Summer exhibition but not to worry. We are still open as Pixie is supervising Steven at the studio so pop in and say hi have a browse and see some beautiful handmade crafts & arts. Some of the beautiful things we have availiable In Studio 5 in the stableyard Drumlanrig Castle & Country Estate they've been hard at work the last few weeks getting everything ready for the Gardens to open on April 1st spring is in the air.
The Gardens are really beautiful and change throughout the year and such a lot of work goes on behind the scenes to make them so enjoyable. There are many walks and bike trails around the estate (you don't even need to bring a bike pop to Rik's Bike Shed to get one or excellent advice on the trails and almost anything you could need bike wise) If you or your bike need a hose down after there is a bike wash and showers in the stableyard.

Good Morning,
We are having a chilled out day today. After having a busy few days at the Galloway Country Fair. While Anne (from TLChic) was watching the stall I had a quick browse around the food tent. I was gutted the food and crafts were separate, this was possibly a good thing for my waistline as I got some of my Favourite Fudge The Galloway Fudge Company some lovely pies and Russet Apple juice.......And a hot dog and ice cream. (The fudge was amazing as always I tried... the cherry and citrus ones this time I wish I had got more)
