Summer Isles Foods

Summer Isles Foods are a small Smokehouse based in Alness on the scenic banks of the Cromarty Firth, in the North of Scotland.

Producers of the finest artisan foods from the Highlands of Scotland. Unique amongst salmon smokers is our technique of preparing the sides of salmon. We do it, not by simply dry-salting, but by immersing them in a brine marinade of salt, brown sugar, rum, juniper & black pepper. This creates just a hint of sweetness in the aftertaste, giving Summer Isle's smoked salmon its distinctive taste!

We have 35 years experience in Smoking Scottish Salmon, the range includes, Sweet-cure, Peat smoke, Whisky, Gravad'lax and organic ranges.

Traditional smoked fish including our famous Achiltibuie Kippers, haddock, mackerel, trout and eel.
