About Super Bario
Good Times. Good Games. Good Beer. Over 18's only.
Super Bario Description
Super Bario is idea formed out of a simple love and appreciate of a few things.
Good Beer, Good Games, Good Times.
The reason behind it is simple also. There isn’t currently somewhere in Glasgow where you can enjoy a beer or coffee with friends and play a good original arcade game or pinball machine. We want somewhere like that to hang out and pass the time, so why not open a place?
Hanging out with a group of friends? Why not throw a good beer and a game of Mortal Kombat II into the mix. A catch up with your old man is always made all the better when he can educate you on the finer skills involved in pinball. Tinder date? How about a nice romantic drive, drifting round a corner in Ridge Racer. Or maybe you just want to hang out at the bar and have a chat with us and why we're the best at Street Fighter 2.
Good Beer
We like our beer just as much as we like our games, so a good game should be accompanied with a suitably good beer. Scotland’s got a lot to offer in the world of brewing at the moment and we’ll be taking advantage of that with offerings from William’s, West and others that if you’ve not already heard of you’ll be glad you did. Couple this with a finely tuned but generous selection of beers from near and far and you’re on to a winning combination, and we’ll take note of the ones you like, and the ones you’d like to see.
We'll also be offering the finest locally sourced coffee and American sodas so if you're visiting on your lunch break or don't feel like a frosty one we'll still have plenty to offer.
Good Games
They’re classics for a reason, and that’s why we’ll have them.
We've got an extensive list of titles ready to go including Pac-Man, Super Mario Bros. , Metal Slug, Moonwalker, Tekken 3, Mortal Kombat II, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Ridge Racer, Sega Rally and many more that we'll be rotating every month to keep the games as fresh as the beer. We're aways happy to take requests.
And for all you afficienados out there. Yes, it's all on original hardware, in original 80's and 90's cabinets. Don't worry though, no fag burns or dodgy buttons. Their restored and ready to go.
If pinball is your thing we’ve got some blasts from the past that’ll impress the most discerning of fans. We've got Baywatch, WWF Royal Rumble and Tales from the Crypt in waiting. With more on rotation soon.
Good Times
That’s where you come in, you are is big a part of this as we are. In fact you make it. With you help we can make Super Bario every bit as impressive as we and you can imagine. Every penny you donate will go into making sure that it’s truly a multiplayer event.
Here’s some of the things we’ll be spending that on…
Building our own bar, cellar and refrigeration system
Upgrading the decor and look of the current premesis (with the help of local artists)
Electrical work to power the games and make sure the lighting is just right.

Signage

This place was worth the wait. If you grew up wanting to go on Gamesmaster and getting excited about trips to Largs so you could play on the machines, then this is the joint for you! Great drinks selection too. Keep up the good work guys!
This is one of the coolest bars in Glasgow. If you haven't been, do yourself a favour. Arcade games, great drinks, amazing coffee and fantastic atmosphere.

Relaxed environment with drinks and old school video games from the 80's and 90's
Pros - Free Video Games and Alcoholic Refreshments. Very friendly staff that have good conversations with you.
Cons - Not a full pint of beer for the price tag. Some of the arcade machines could do with some TLC to get the buttons working/joysticks back to normal/ calibration for house of the dead.
It gets 5 stars cause the cons are not things to stop you from going, just realistic expectations �

Popped in twice while down in Glasgow for a gig, fantastic wee place with some cool old-school arcade machines. Loved the fact that some were free to play as well, will definitely be back next time!
Nice chill environment, great games and reasonable prices for drinks! The staff are friendly and they have a great assortment of old arcade games to sink your teeth into. If you have an hour or two to burn this is definetly a place you should consider paying a visit.

Ill be honest. Iv been out of the country for 7 years. I was unsure about going for a beer in glasgow. Then i stumbled apin super bario. Great beer, warm friendly staff and host of all a great selection of gaming machines. Hotd2. I nearly cried when i discovered baywatch pinball. The host shaun is sexual chocolate. I dont even know where or how to stop. Ita a beautiful undiscovered planet of joy. Just go
I've been watching and waiting with great interest since I first heard about this place on Kickstarter.
Unfortunately I only got to go for the first time last night , wish I'd been sooner, it had a great selection of drinks and arcade machines (most of which are free to play). The four of us rolled back the years with a beer fuelled street fighter 2 knockout tournament, won by my mighty hadouken to Dans face in the final � will definitely be back for some more �� two thumbs up from me, go check it out �
Great venue, great staff, brilliant initiative. The fact the retro arcade machines are free, or at least the one I played, is a massive draw. Prices are good, service is good. Had a really nice chat to the guy behind the bar about retro games, Ready Player One (the book! not the crap film) and he told me about the history of PacMan and the guy who completed it. Anyway, I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. Going to bring some more pals with me next time. Keep up the good work guys! �
Great choice of beer with fun old school arcade machines and good indie music. Some machines are free to play and some are 50p. Pinball is £1 - not as good value relatively speaking. Will be going back though.
Great atmosphere, nice selection of beers on tap, bottled beers and spirits. The games are for the major selling point, with such a wide selection it's just a fun place to spend time in. Lovely and helpful staff who are happy to chat about drinks choices or how to get a good time on Ridge Racer alike.

Excellent place for chilled out drink and some retro gaming. From good old button basher fighting games to House of the Dead. Good selection of free play machines. Friendly and welcoming staff. First visit and certainly won't be my last. 👍🏻
