Swamp Dogs Description
Classic rock covers band based in the Glenkens, Dumfries and Galloway featuring local guitar prodigy Hardie Walker. The band consists of Hardie's guitar teacher Mark Stoves and experienced local musicians Eggo (Bass) and Dan Goodwin (Drums). With two guitarists in the band the setlist references classic dual guitar bands such as: Whitesnake, Bad Company, AC /DC, Thin Lizzy, Metallica and Bonjovi. Other artists include Free, Green Day, Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton and The Cult.
The band rehearse and record at their own Hideaway Studios facilities in the Glenkens. Working with state of the art and vintage studio equipment the band are striving to duplicate the authentic sound of classic rock, Mark Stoves has worked as a sound engineer for the last 30 years and has in fact worked with many of the bands mentioned above.
At the moment the band are working on a song repertoire aimed at giving audiences a authentic classic rock experience and are now looking for a vocalist, male or female based in the stewartry area with good stage presence and classic vocal technique.
