About Swan (Scottish Women'S Autism Network)

SWAN (Scottish Women's Autism Network) is an autistic-led Charity, providing services run by and for autistic women* across Scotland since 2012. We believe in Scotland as a home where autistic women and girls can flourish and we work to achieve this through improving wellbeing, improving understanding and promoting social inclusion and citizenship. We provide a range of autistic-led services, including online peer support, wellbeing webinars, local meet-up groups and short-term counselling. We are currently funded by the Scottish Government to deliver training and information sessions to improve the understanding and inclusion of autistic women. All of our work is informed by the lived experience of autistic women and girls and we currently have a network of over 700 members. *SWAN is inclusive of all women, as well as non-binary, intersex, genderqueer and gender fluid people who are comfortable in a space that centres the experience of women. *SWAN is inclusive of all autistic-identified people - with a clinical or non-clinical diagnosis, NHS or private, self-diagnosed or self-identified.
