The last Friday of each month, The Soul Book comes to Swing, playing the great repertoire from the best artists in the soul genre with an awesome live band!
The Soul Book, founded by stalwarts of the UK soul and jazz scene guitarist Malcolm MacFarlane and saxophonist Gordon McNeil, bring together leading Scottish musicians to a soul loving audience every month.
Special guest artists from Scotland, the UK and internationally feature monthly.

Strongly influenced by the Mississippi Delta sound from the early 1920's to the 1960's, BLUE MILK are modern blues men channelling the raw spirit of the blues, delivering energy and a modern twist to classic tracks while remaining rooted to the traditional style of blues.
Inspired by the classic Captain Beefheart album Safe as Milk, Blue Milk's dynamic 4-piece boasts electrifying slide guitar and rousing melodies f...rom Jonny Mac (guitar,vocals) the wailing howl from Luo S Glaister's harmonica, powerfully resonant undertones from Ike Malinki (bass guitar,backing vocals) and infectious grooves from Taylor Whyte (drums, backing vocals).

We went on Friday evening to hear Lianne Carroll. It was our first time in Swing although we have been meaning to go for ages. It was better than I'd hoped, a great atmosphere,great entertainment and fairly priced drinks.The admission with a garanteed seat was £20 each, pretty fair I'd say for all that entertainment. My only gripe was where we were seated. A big uncomfortable stool in front of a pier seriously restricting our view. However, It reminded me of the Jazz clubs I used to go to in the early seventies minus the smoke ! (Have to say I kind of missed the smoke) All the staff were very pleasant and friendly and we hope we can get back again soon.

We celebrated our friends birthday here last night, and had a fabulous evening the entertainment was amazing and the whole vibe of the place was brilliant. We had a table reserved close to the bar, bar staff brilliant and remembered the round, no long wait to get drinks....absolutely brilliant night and I speak for everyone in the company. If I had to be picky it took a few emails and phone calls from my friend to get outr table reserved, but got there in the end. Well Done Swing great night out ��

Was taken here by my family for a surprise birthday treat on the 18th November and love love loved every bit of it. Music from Colin Steele's Mercy, Mercy, Mercy Adderley Brother's Tribute Quintet was top class. Thank you.

Staff were attentive, happy, aim to please and the ambiance just magical.

Thanks to Colin for his leaving birthday tribute to myself. Star night all round.xo

I was there for the bells with my wife and we had a fantastic night. The staff were exelent and the entertainment was superb. We will be back in the new year for more great nights.

Great atmosphere 1950's style which I Ioved !From the moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed by Craig, who took our coats and took us to our seats and looked after us !Bar stuff lovely and friendly too .The music was great and the live bands were brilliant too ! Such talented people ! Will be back again as soon as ! I have found my place ���

Found this completely by chance....but what an amazing place. Great music, especially the blues, great staff and awesome atmosphere. Cosy, charming and charismatic...do not walk past this place.

First time visiting. This was a family get together and what a great night we had. Booked a table which was ready for us when we arrived. Bar staff and gentleman who greeted us were very friendly. The two musical acts were first class and the interaction with the audience was great. Would definitely recommend Swing for a fun night out.

Club Swing is simply stunning, from the minute you walk in the door the place looks and feels like a scene from a movie. All staff are very professional and excellent at their job. I would highly recommend this club to everyone and it's hands down the best club in Scotland.

Came here with a large group the other day, couldn't recommend it enough! We got there and they had reserved us tables and gave us exclusive use of the cloakroom for the night, and the staff were super. Will definatley be returning just to show other people this place!

Absolutely loved this place! Great music, fantastic cocktails and whiskies, amazing atmosphere. The staff is really friendly and would go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. Ended up going 3 nights in a row whilst in Glasgow. Highly recommend for a unique experience in Glasgow! �

Went to swing to celebrate my hen night. Booked far in advance still got worse seats in the place just next to the bar. I booked for 15 people and played £150, so £10 per person, two of my quest have to cancel i phoned 24 hours in advance to cancel two places and i been told i will get my £20 back. We arrived at swing just after 8 pm no one was there to welcome us all tables had reserve sign but no name. I stood in the queue at the bar in order to find out where are we seated at the same time i been informed that i wont get my £20 back as they were unable to sell them. Place was full. I mean full. We had 3 small tables for 13 of us ( meant to be 15) very tight was very uncomfortable and there is no way i could fit other 2 people there. No free space what so ever. Bar staff was nice. Entertainment was ok we were sitting far so i hardy could see anything or hear from all the noise from the bar. Cocktail menu was very poor. Manager was very rude and unprofessional. Said if we would leave our jackets and bags at the cloakroom there will be plenty of room for us, (13 of us not 15) well none of us had any jackets or big bags at the first place. Anyways very disappointing.

We went here thinking it would be quite a good experience. We were totally wrong. Paid £15 to get in, so £60 for the four of us. When we got there there was at least a half hour wait between acts, not sure why as there wasn’t much to set up.

The gentleman who took our coats was lovely and polite, he was the best thing about our experience.

The barman was rude to my boyfriend and didn’t smile once.

Then during two of the four performances we stayed for a waitress/bar staff stood in front of us filming so we couldn’t see. My boyfriend politely asked her to move but she ignored him.

Also when we asked for our coats we got told we’d have to wait five minutes because the next performer was just going to come on stage. When I ask for my belongings back I expect them immediately.

When we asked the speak to the manager the barman came over, we explained we haven’t had a good time and quite frankly had paid a large amount for rude service and not even being able to see all the acts. He gave us an empty apology and quite clearly looked like he didn’t care, his attitude was disgusting.

Customer service is shocking and we will not be going back. I’ll be advising everyone to steer clear.

The entertainment was great, but the way this place is managed really is awful. The website encourages you to book because it’s a busy place, which it is for it’s size... but the bizarre bit is that they bang on about cocktails and only have one person serving drinks. Need more than one cocktail maker/bar person folks.

Quite bizarre to see venue owner completely ignoring the fact that her guests were in need of being served. At point I saw her completely ignore every one at the bar whilst she poured herself A glass of wine. Cheers.

Great entertainment but awful set up. Would I go back? Yes, but I’d like to think I wouldnt need to post this next time.

Having discussed a booking with the manager of this club for 20 or so people at length and been agreed upon, the club chose to inform me the booking was no longer acceptable approx a month before the date. They informed me by FB message after I had repeatedly emailed & messaged to pay the deposit they had asked me to collect. I find this unacceptable and ridiculously poor customer service. I have recommended this club to many people in past after many enjoyable visits but after this bad experience I will not be recommending it to anyone. Stay away- poor customer management & unreliable service. So angry & disappointed by what had been one of my favourite places before. Terrible.
