HOME PC MAINTENANCE
Most common issue we hear in both domestic and business scenarios is that the PC, laptop isn't running quite as good as it once done.. The most common reason for this is simply lack of maintenance. In day to day use a normal computer will download and store a load of temporary files which if not cleared can cause the computer to slow down. Also, there is the threat of malware, ransomware which may infect a computer without any user interaction and is also ...a major cause of performance deterioration. Then there is simply how the computers work in regards to cooling, they draw in cool air and circulate within the case then the air is expelled via an opening on the computer case. Through time dust and other airborne particles are pulled into the computer and build up on the cooling fans, heatsink etc and cause overheating.
Our home PC maintenance service consists of us collecting your computer, performing maintenance checks as follow..
CLEAN INSIDE THE COMPUTER CASE AND REMOVE ANY BUILD UP OF DUST ETC ON FANS AND HEATSINK. SCAN THE COMPUTER FOR ANY REMNANTS OF MALWARE, RANSOMWARE AND REMOVE IF PRESENT. REMOVE ANY ROGUE PROGRAMS. CHECK ANTI VIRUS STATUS AND INSTALL FREE VERSION IF NONE PRESENT, PAID FOR OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE AND WE WILL MENTION. GIVE THE COMPUTER A GENERAL CHECK AND REPORT ANY ISSUES WHICH WE THINK REQUIRE ATTENTION. FINALLY WE RETURN THE COMPUTER TO YOU AND SETUP AS WAS.
During the return visit, and for an additional £10 we will offer a network security check which we observe WiFi configuration and if need be suggest changes and implement if agreed.
The cost for the initial maintenance is £30 plus vat for the first computer and any additional computers are charged at £20.
We will collect and return for free within a 5 mile radius of Wishaw and outwith may incur an additional cost for mileage. You can also drop the computer into us at 16B Netherdale Road, Netherton Industrial Estate, ML2 0ER.
The service above doesn't resolve any failures present in the computer and we will check computer is operational prior to removing from your premises. We can sort anything that's not working properly and will give costs before any work is carried out.
