I run a reliable and experienced business with over 8 years experience in the care of pets, offering my clients a professional and friendly service. At 'Take the Lead' I know how precious our furry friends are to you and your family, therefore I always make sure your pet is treated like one of my own.

Whether it's a short morning /lunchtime walk or an overnight stay you are looking for, 'Take the Lead' would be delighted to help you.

I am fully qualified in Canine First Aid (I carry first aid supplies with me on all walks) and I am fully insured for your pet. I am also fully cleared with Disclosure Scotland giving you peace of mind that your dog is in the best possible hands.

Services /Prices:

Solo Dog Walk - 30mins - £8
A solo walk is suitable for dogs who prefer human company, can't manage a long walk due to age or mobility problems or have socialisation issues with other dogs. This is usually local to the clients house.

Group Dog Walk - 60mins - £8
If your dog likes to socialise with other dogs, a group walk is ideal. I take a small number of dogs for a long, fun walk and play in a countryside location. If there are any dirty paws to be cleaned 'Take the Lead' will make sure they have been given a rub down.

'Need for Feed' - £8
I will pop in, let your dog out for any 'needs' and provide a feed if required at any time that suits you.

Pet Sitting - £15 per two hour session
This service runs from 4pm until 10pm on weekdays and weekends. I will spend two hours with your dog giving them company, food if required and a chance to get out to the toilet.

Day Care - £20 per day
If your dog does not like to be home alone, I can arrange for your dog to be out all day with me.

Pet Transport - Rates Vary
I provide a comfortable and reliable pet transport service. If you need me to take your dog (or other animal) to the vet, groomer, kennels or any other location 'Take the Lead' will be happy to help.

Home Boarding - Rates Vary
A brilliant alternative to kennels - I can provide them with a home from home. All that is required is your pets food and bedding for the stay. They will be treated like one of the family and with all their usual comforts, he /she will have a lovely holiday, leaving you to enjoy yours in the knowledge you have a happy and content pet.

Home Stays - Rates Vary
Another alternative to kennels and catteries. I will come and stay in your home, keeping your pet in it's own surroundings and keeping your house secure and occupied while you are away.

Cat Sitting & Small Animal Care - From £8
I will go into your home daily to replenish food and water, clean out bowls /litter trays /hutches and cages and give your pet attention and cuddles. The added benefit of this service is that I can also check your home, move mail, water plants or anything else that you may require.

Discount prices for more than one dog per household & discount prices for 60 + owners.

Throughout any walk, activity and transportation, the safety and welfare of your dog will be absolutely paramount.
