Tasty Fry

They have really good fish and chips. The shop is small, a take away shop. But service is fast.

Worst chip shop in Callander. Overpriced and tiny portions. We usually go to Bruno's but it was shut. Save your money and head for Brunos. Never still been hungry after a fish supper - absolute rip off and won't be back!,

very rude staff, had to return and complain to a woman who was working in the shop about the way she had treated my girlfriends younger sister and her friend. The two girls came back to the car complaining that a lady working in the chip shop was very rude and was sighing and huffing. When it came to giving the girls there change she passed it to them in an agressive manner. When we went back to complain she reversed the problem on us and began to say it was the girls who had attitude. After this we were leaving the shop and a comment was made under her breath which was heard by us. Not impressed and will not be back!

I visited the chip shop today - very disappointed as the chips were small scrapping which had been scraped fom the bottom of the Frier. Tasty Fry was not an appropriate name for this Chip Shop in my opinion.

The best fish & chips I've had anywhere!
We stopped in Callander for one night last year, and though we had fish & chips elsewhere several times during our vacation, none was nearly as good as that of the Tasty Fry!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! This used to be an amazing little gem in Callander, however it has now went massively downhill. The rude women behind the counter kept sighing, rolling her eyes, and talking to our family with a terrible attitude. The staff were so rude and disinterested when we ordered that we ended telling them not to bother and walking out. We were then followed with a barrage of abuse and obscenities coming from the two disgusting people behind the counter. The man doing the frying even started shouting and swearing at my wife who is 6 months pregnant! These people should not work with the public! Horrible place, horrible service! If I could give them zero stars then I would. AVOID!!!

Never going here again. About 10 things on the menu and they didn't have most of it. None of the fish was ready and cooked and although it was only a 5 minute wait, the fish was tasteless, extremely boney and the chips were either soggy or tasted like they'd been cooked hours and hours ago and just reheated. Defo won't be back and wouldn't recommend it to anybody! Yuck :(

There is nothing "tasty" about re-heated fish and chips. Spent about £25 in the place then realised we needed a fork. They still had the check to charge 25p for one while my hands where full. Utter crap chippy service from the cheeky bint behind the counter was nothing more than shocking

I live in Thornhill and regularly get fish and chips from the Tasty Fry. Chips are delicious. generous portions. much better value than the fancy chip shop up the road too. and friendly lady that works there too.

Fish tasted awful and had so many bones it was uneatable! Given that the queue was 10 strong on a lovely Saturday evening about 6ish and we waited about 15mins it was very very disappointing! I will never eat here again!
