Hi everyone!
We have decided to put a post up with some information about our taxi service over the Christmas and New Year period. Here are the answers to some of our most asked questions every year.
... ▪️We are still open 24 hours a day over the festive period. We genuinely never close. ▪️At certain times over the festive period, the meters do go up in price. This means that your normal journeys will cost more. These increases are called stage 3 and stage 4. All prices will remain the same until Christmas Eve at 6pm. The prices will stay increased (varying between stage 3 to stage 4) until Boxing Day at 10pm. That’s when the meters will go back to normal until New Years Eve. ▪️During stage 3 and stage 4, there will be no fixed price taxis. The staff here in the office can tell you roughly how much your journey will be over the phone but please bare in mind this is just a rough estimate. All taxi journeys during those times will be on the meter. ▪️On Christmas Eve the option to pay by card via our APP will be disabled for just under two weeks. We will re-enable this option on the 3rd of January. We do apologise for any inconveniences caused by this but you will still be able to pay by card in our taxis to one of our drivers. ▪️Our APP will still be up and running throughout the festive period but please bare in mind, if we do get too busy. It could be turned off. If this is the case, just give us a call at the office and we will be able to help you further.
