So here's something we are seeing a lot of recently, not all from the same place, this car was tinted locally (I didn't ask where) and apparently beat my quote by £20, now after having the car for around 6-7 hours this is what the customer found when he picked it up, we are often asked to price match and I think these pictures sum up why we don't do it, there is always someone out there who will do it cheaper, luckily this customer didn't pay for this and brought it to us to ...have it rectified, unfortunately that's a bit more expensive than having us tint it in the first place, this is probably the worst tint job I have seen in 15 years on what is actually a very straight forward car to tint, it's the same old story I'm afraid, buy cheap buy twice! Don't be fooled by saving a couple of pounds, cheaper is very rarely better, I know there are at least 2 more in the diary at the moment, tinted a little further afield but in very similar condition, BEWARE!!

Another car made legal here at Tayside Autotints, this audi had a 30%vlt film on its 2 front doors, leaving a combined light transmission of 22%, WELL BELOW THE 70%VLT LEGAL LIMIT, this carries 3 points and £100 fine and also voids your insurance, and as you can see is now an MOT FAIL, once removed the car is back to a legal 70%vlt front glass, as with most cars these days the factory fitted glass is right on the legal limit, meaning no visible aftermarket tint is legal on the front doors or windscreen DON'T BE CAUGHT OUT, HAVE YOUR CAR RETURNED TO LEGAL BEFORE YOU ARE HANDED 3 POINTS
