OOR WULLIE BIG BUCKET TRAIL - PC MURDOCH OFF ON HIS TRAVELS
As you may have seen last week, Police Scotland is participating in its own challenge as part of the #OWBBT, with our own wee PC Murdoch travelling all around the country.
The wee fella started his journey here in Tayside, and is now on his way to this next top secret location (*cough* North East Division *cough*). While he was with us, we managed to get a few snaps of him out about keeping people aware of the good ...work done by The Archie Foundation, Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity, and the Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity.
If you see the wee man somewhere in Scotland over the next few weeks, make sure you stop to say hello and get a selfie!

CHOICES FOR LIFE PC's Taylor and Morgan continued their 'Choices for Life' alcohol/substance misuse training yesterday with Kirriemuir's P7's at both Northmuir & Southmuir primary schools. This time the focus was on drug types & the effects they can have on judgement & the ability to carry out simple tasks. Fantastic feedback from the pupils who are really beginning to understand the importance of making good choices in the future. Police Scotland is appealing for information about a break-in to the Eagle Inn in King Street, Broughty Ferry, which happened between 1:20am and 7:45am yesterday morning (Monday 24th). A four-figure sum of money was stolen along with other items, and some damage caused within the premises.
CCTV at local businesses is being checked, and officers would like to trace a man seen on CCTV in King Street about 2:15am, described as white, tall, slim build, wearing a dark jacket with ...a logo of some type and patches on the elbows, dark jeans and white Adidas trainers. This person may well have been in the area for perfectly legitimate reasons and could be a potential witness.
Enquiries are continuing in the area, and if you have any information that could assist our investigation, please call 101 or speak with any police officer. Also, information can be given anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is CR/16269/19.

THE GREAT HILLTOWN FISH MYSTERY - SOLVED!
You may remember 3 weeks ago we posted here about a large fish that had mysteriously appeared in a pond at The MAXwell Centre in Hilltown, Dundee, and asked for any information you may have about it. Well, we've got to the bottom of it. The mystery that is, not the pond.
The owners of the fish got in touch with us, and unfortunately they didn't have good news. They are a couple who live nearby - their fish pond had been vandalised and... this individual fish had been stolen from it. Two boys aged 14 and 12 have since been identified and charged in connection with this and reported to the Children's Reporter in Dundee.
As for the fish - the owners have decided not to keep their remaining fishies, but they have been rehomed (reponded?) safely. And as for "Jack", our aquatic acquaintence who started us off down this path (stream?) - he's going to be staying at the MAXwell Centre, who have upgraded their pond so it's a suitable home for him.
Thanks to everyone who shared our initial post as we may not have been able to solve the puzzle otherwise. We'd like to thank everyone who contributed with their own punderful comments as well - but we won't. They were generally dreadful, although a few ray-sed a smile....🐠
