Team Triforce Description
We are a group of final-year MEng students studying Computing and Electronics at Heriot-Watt University. Having spent most of our time at university tinkering with embedded software, electrical hardware and robotics, we decided to try our hand at making a fighting robot.
After raising the funds to begin the project with the generous help of our university, we began building our robot, Triforce, in late October 2016. Sadly missing out on the second series of Robot Wars, we are now more prepared and will soon have our machine ready to battle.
Triforce is a heavyweight full-ring spinner robot with a unique omni-directional drive system, called a 'Kiwi drive'. Triforce is a force to be reckoned with, utilising a complex software control system as well as some of the toughest and most robust materials available.
