[POSITION FILLED]
Territories are a 4 piece instrumental band based in Glasgow. Finding inspiration in genres as varied as Post Rock (Mogwai, Russian Circles), Drone Music (Tim Hecker), but also Soundtrack Work (Enio Morricone), Ambient Electronica (Tycho) etc, we are aiming to record and gig wherever this adventure will take us.
... We are looking for a committed and able bass player to complete the current line up comprising of 2 x guitars, 1 x drums, 1 x piano / synth / sample. (Age range in the band from late 20's to late 30's).
We have 2 fully completed tracks (including bass) and currently working on other written material. We are ideally looking for someone who will show willingness to play the existing bass line to start with (inevitably you are catching up) as we believe this would make an ideal and fair audition process for everyone who wants to join. However, if you feel like adapting it convincingly (without taking too much time just so we don't re write everything), that works too!
This is a safe and open environment so you will have, of course, a full part to play in shaping the material with us.
