As well as being an award winner personally, I am part of a multi award winning team in Lanarkshire and I have completed specialist training to be able to give my clients the very best support.

To me, being so overweight meant I had no self-esteem, no confidence and shopping for clothes was a nightmare. It didn’t matter how nice the size 22 clothes were, I still felt awful in them. I actually dreaded being asked to go on a night out or to any event that involved me having to dress up.

Every day I would laugh off the weight gain to others whilst feeling awful inside. I would do the odd stint in the gym and join yet another diet group, but I would soon lose my motivation, have a ‘week off’ and re-gain it all, usual with an extra few lbs on top!
