Went to watch footie and as usual the atmosphere was great along with the drinks being reasonably priced!



I never had any food but the pub is always busy with diners so I think that is as good a recommendation as any.



Definitely be back

We had a great breakfast and greatfull that it didn't cost the earth! You could tell staff took pride in their pub. We're going back for dinner and my husband wants to try the whiskeys!

This place is amazing. We loved the service we were giving on both occasions when we went into bar we highly recommend it �

The food was good with a great selection on offer at sensible prices. It was about half full and there was a nice atmosphere. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Will be going again. I imagine that it gets very busy when the students are in residence. Our visit was between 18.30 and 20.15.

Really a very nice place! Friendly staff, great food and very reasonably prices. Been here twice for breakfast and twice for supper this week. It is like a ‘living-room feeling’ as we say in Holland. All our visits here ended with leaving with a very good feeling. So yes, I have no other choice than to recommend this place to you!

Place is great. Amazing whiskey selection. Great prices. Best value breakfast!! 5 quid for an egg, black pudding, beans, bacon, mushrooms and toast.

In Edinburgh for the Stones concert. The Abbey was a delight, great breakfast, friendly staff, especially Stuart, Cloe. Next time we visit Edinburgh the Abbey is a must go.

I come to Edinburgh every year the last 15 years. Every time I visit the Abbey. It has good food , a big choice of Beer and Whisky and live Football on 6 screens. I will come again and again!

Great choice in beers. A whiskey heaven if you’re into that sort of thing. Great breakfast too. Friendly staff, can’t go wrong

Friendly traditional atmosphere, food excellent and if you're into whisky they've got 250+. Thoroughly recommend it...

For Nachos lovers .. this place makes them to perfection. No beating around the bush They are fantastic. Meals are great if you are looking for good traditional food all top quality. 5 stars.

First visit and very impressive list of whisky to choose from. Food was top notch as well. If only I could pick this pub up and move it closer to where I live in Norwich. Will most certainly be making a return trip soon

Several of the staff members are often really rude for no reason. Shame because it's one of our locals, and otherwise alright. Unfortunately for them, it's the staff that can make or break a place.

Went in to the bar with 5 friends I got a larger it was very warm and did not taste right so I complained. They did not offer a solution to my problem in fact they were rude kept me waiting for 15 minutes and said here's a half pint . Very bad customer services . Avoid this rude so called bar

We've waited more than 10 minutes, the staff member did not even notice us. What did we have to do to get a drink????? ��
